  1. Turtles have been around since 1984 with 32 years under its belt. I don't think people will just "not care" about it in 2-3 years. Alot of the 30 year olds now who grew up watching turtles have yet to reach their financial peak. I still think there is a ton of potential with turtles. This is very accurate. TMNT has also been re-intorduced to every new generation since its inception and the popularity keeps growing. BY the way saw a 9.6 number 1 sold for $15,000 on comiclink a month or so ago.
  2. Wow just saw a 9.6 number 1 sold for $15,000 on comiclink.
  3. I am aware of a private sale from about a month ago just under 11k for a 9.6
  4. This was an isolated sale but I agree that prices are or will move soon
  5. The thing is both r great books and quite frankly great investments. The increase in values for both books have been tremendous over the last 10 to 15 years but go in cycles . I know for a fact tmnt has, depending on grade, gone up anywhere from 10 to 20 times since the early 2000s before Cgc graded them. They finally leveled off in 2014. There is no doubt it will make another push soon as I am sure af 15 will as well. I am quit confident in saying that action 1, AF 15 and tmnt 1 are equals in terms of their respective eras
  6. AF 15 4.0 is currently around $13k to $14k. There has not been a TMNT 1, 9.6 that has sold recently that I know of, but based on the recent significant increase in 9.8 value based on the 3 very strong 9.8 sales that have been going for 22-27k, I would put a TMNT 1 9.6 at around $12k. In 2015, AF 15 would have killed a TMNT 1 CGC 9.6, but the margin has closed this past year.
  7. Scroll through the five points by clicking on the arrows above the images. The point of view is probably not Daryl as he is closet to the doors and you can see a head in the foreground that could easily be Daryl's. I can't see Michonne as the victim either because not only is she very prominent in the comic story going forward she also now has a video game based on her character. Either way it's really such a bummer that they screwed this up so badly. I felt they did a nice job building the tension and JDM gave an amazing performance. They won't be able to recreate that in October. Even IF it isn't leaked by then about who gets Lucille'd. I saw this article as well. It is very well though out and actually makes the most sense out of all the theories based on the hints in the show that its someone in the van. And it most likely is Michonne based on the fact that you can see the top of a head that looks like Daryl's just in front of the first person perspective. I think it very well could be Michonne for the following additional reasons as well: 1) I feel after this buildup, the creators would have to take out someone that the audience really cares about to make an impact to start off next season. For most people including myself, After Daryl, I think that person would be Michonne. 2) Every woman who Rick gets in a relationship with ends up eating it and quite frankly I dont think the show works if Rick is in along term relationship. 3) Michonne's death would also have the most impact on the two main characters in the show - Rick for the reason stated above and Carl who sees Michonne as a mother now. 4) Until I read this article, Michonne is the last person I thought would get it - all the more reason it could be her. 5) The person that took the bat didnt go down immediately - Michonne has proven to be one of the toughest characters on the show. 6) Negan would also want to take out one of the strongest links in the group to weaken it - again Michonne.
  8. From what perspective? Importance? Value? Potential value? Personal preference? All of the above. Curious because I personally consider cap to be the #3 most important comic book universe character, but appears my perspective is wrong. WW beats cap out based on the recent sales...Flash and GL might also.
  9. Ya, if anything X-men 1 should be much higher but easy book to get compared to most other Marvel super-keys. I personally think X-men 1 is just as important as AF 15, as it gave birth to nearly half the Marvel Universe, but will never be in the same league as AF 15 value wise.
  10. There was also a very quick sale of a 5.5 on the boards I think yesterday near the 7k mark
  11. Didn't the comic connect copy just sell for around 8k in 5.5
  12. I noticed that too. But he description does say 1985 and the label says 3rd print. There have to be at least 2 bidders that think its 1st print. Someones going to be upset.
  13. Whats going on with the CGC 8.0 signature TMNT #1 (3rd printing) on Heritage that over $1000 right now in their weekly auction. Thats a $200-$300 book at best in that consition. There must be a bunch of bidders that think its a 1st printing. Otherwise Im sending my signature 9.8 to heritage.
  14. Cant recommend Ray enough. Great board member and awesome guy to sell too. Fast payment, very friendly
  15. I think because its rarer than even most silverage books people like owning a copy regardless of grade. That why theres not much of a difference in prices until you get to 9.6. An 8.5 will sell for a little under 3.5k while a 9.4 will sell for 5-5.5k. I cant think of any other book where the percentage gaps are so close.
  16. dug it. I thought it was going to be a fail. glad its not
  17. Thanks for the info. Pretty amazing there is only one 9.9 in this entire series.
  18. Are there any 9.9 or 10.0 graded copies from the original Mirage Studios series of any of the 80s issues out there? Ive never seen one for sale.
  19. Really nice eye appeal on this copy. I have 2 3.5s and this one blows both those away. Congrats.
  20. Pretty strong considering the 99% detached cover Why such a jump. You could get fine copies for that a year ago
