  1. I guess I should have been more specific Any current NYCC members or boardies in this thread headed to NYCC? Dang ebtorres
  2. So who's NYCC bound? Besides Tim and Mehdi that is.
  3. I kid, I kid. I also really like Batman Harley Quinn but don't see it as THE Harley book. That would mean if Gwen were to crossover and leave the alternate universe a purist as yourself would say "Well, EOSV shouldn't be the most sought after because it was an alternate universe appearance". That's taking it to a whole other level of geek I won't go to. It's a comic book and a first appearance, not a what state were you born in black and white question IMO.
  4. As she took your money for a BA 12, a UF 4, and the one you've been wanting most...EOSV 2?
  5. So what book features her first full appearance? TV Guide Point being she's an adaptation from a cartoon, not an original comic book creation. Like the Transformers. -J. By this train of logic, any and all Walt Disney,Peanuts, most Four Color Comics and any comic book that derived after a TV appearance should be deemed worthless and insignificant. +1 Sorry Jay but the masses are not as purist as you may be. Transformers 1 sells fairly well, Star Wars 1 is on fire, BA12 is as liquid as they come right now, Scooby Doo 1 always sells well. I'm confident by now most people know where these books came from and it does not phase them because they collect comics.
  6. Am I the only one who doesn't see anything remotely close to an epic crash on this book? Ever.
  7. I also do not think pics should be mandatory. I personally wouldn't expect anyone to go through the trouble to scan a stack of $1 or so readers. It would increase sales for sellers I'm sure but asking for a pic is also not much trouble. I've purchased a few slabs from JD and have received pics within minutes of asking for them. Now if a seller says "Sorry, no pics are available then I move on. Yet when I see no pics available and no returns I am absolutely baffled by the sellers expectations of the sale and can't fathom anyone purchasing in the thread. Thats a seller I know I do not want to support, no matter what price tag I see.
  8. How many members will Enormous NYCC Part 2 have?
  9. I had contemplated trying to work back and get some pre 52 bats and was looking at some lots but then saw what this book was doing and grabbed one before it got way too high for a modern book. One questionable auction up right now at $50( no defined grade) and the rest of th BINs at 75-100. It's a pretty crazy time to be buying this book It did heat up rather quick the last few months. I'd guess it's start was the video game. Yet it does have quite a bit going for it anyway. The print run of 60,901 isn't extremely massive for a nice key with long term potential as this one, his first appearance, he's on the cover, he's appeared in a few animated works, a fan favorite for many, DC states to have big plans for him. I did see that auction over $50 and it looks legit with the bigger feedback bidders but who knows. I just can't tell how clean the book is in pics like that. They are in the wild that's for sure. Last two cons I picked up a few with the most expensive being $15 and as low as 2 for $4.
  10. John Tyler Christopher appears to be doing a Blade AF cover for the upcoming Blade Volume 4 series. No art that I've come across but here's a link for the coming soon MTC listing. http://www.midtowncomics.com/store/dp.asp?PRID=Blade+Vol+4+%231+Cover+C+Va_1471863
  11. It already has. Hmmm maybe. I am leaning towards its current selling price as heating up. It's been said they have big long term plans for Red Hood. I can see it going much higher than its currently selling for. If Red Hood actually winds up in a live action film I see no reason it won't become a $100+ raw book IMO.
  12. I hope the spec is true. I love the Jason Todd/Red Hood story line. 635 is one of the few books I buy every time I find them at a reasonable price. Very under valued book for a long time IMO and can see it exploding if Red Hood hits the screen one day.
  13. Depends on how high the best offer is......... Go go Brandon!
  14. Is not all of this speculation? Is a boardie writing the -script?
  15. It's a sickness. I will do my best as a fellow boardie to try and help you out and one day purchase a black label from you. I'm not picky! I'm more than happy with one of your 9.8 under copies.
  16. Do animated films increase the value of comics? I seriously don't know, obviously if she came from one it would be different but would a cartoon give her a bump? I see her long term success as a bit challenging due to the alternate universe.
  17. I stumbled on a lot of #1's today and instantly thought of this thread. Even more so after speaking with the seller and being told he did submit some to CGC as his first time submission. I know it's been said that many people stocked up on these but if it is the same individual that would be a pretty big coincidence. Yet the seller I spoke to stated they are part of his deceased fathers collection. Who knows, maybe this was an anti shill to slow to hurry up and buy them up element with people believing bulk after bulk were about to hit the census.
  18. Thank you for the update Valiant! (thumbs u
  19. Did the census ever take a 100 book bump for this lot?
