  1. Is Enornous in development with Square Enix (Tomb Raider, Hitman, Final Fantasy) for the video game treatment? This isn't the first time Adrian (Enormous Producer) has thrown hints around. I know his Hitman movie is also developed by SE yet the image in the tweet below looks spot on with one used in the character development stage in a process such as this treatment. I'd love a gritty and fluid Tomb Raider style Enormous! It would be an very logical strategy to launch a high caliber game from a studio like SE prior to the debut of a television show. ...Now to see if Tim can deny it @AdrianAskarieh: I am not going to say anything else except: Get Ready!! #JustCause3 #DEUSEX #EnormousComic http://t.co/TEQXjcEM3b

  3. Anyone who has a 8250 (or similar) recommend a go to setting for contrast, brightness, and resolution? Been playing with it for a bit and I don't think I'm on the right track in comparison to the high quality scans I've seen posted. This is definitely not my wheelhouse.
  4. That's the spirit Chris! Wait...sitting on or speculating?
  5. A speculators book? Do people often drop hundreds on OA as a speculation? I honestly don't know but would think it's because they are a fan of the book itself. Similar to the many that signed up with Court for sketches. We all know sketches are no longer money makers in the secondary market. Perhaps I read into the story more but I'm behind the characters and look forward to how the continue to develop. I don't know if people felt that was about Sixth Gun but hear it's an excellent read. Outside of the $450 sale on the first Phantom on the market where are these wheels that may fall off? The NYCC? It's print run is 106, and an insanely cool cover to a phenomenal book. Drop the show and I wouldn't even flinch about owning them.
  6. I preordered Enormous and had no clue of any web show. I checked out the preview and was just drawn to it. I feel the print run numbers speak to that as well. It's definitely been difficult for some to find on the shelves yet many people are continuing to enjoy the series. Knowing that the next issue has a print run over 10k is proof that the book is in demand. I can't imagine that speculators have a major part in those numbers for #7, or #1 Vol 2 if you will. I see growth by loyal fans, not people walking away to get some drek that has not had the difficulties of release dates for one reason or another.
  7. Welcome to modern speculation on the hopes of a TV show. Just wait till it turns into Sixth Gun and watch the wheels fall off... This book took off way before a tv deal was in the works to be fair. What he said.
  8. Welcome to modern speculation on the hopes of a TV show. Just wait till it turns into Sixth Gun and watch the wheels fall off... The $450 sale was the first one to the market. When a SS of the same book sells for $100 after an announcement I'm not too sure the wheels have even yet to be build. I feel like the announcement didn't really spike it. A few books sold since then at fair prices IMO for a killer series. Announcement or not I feel the quality and print run justifies an even higher selling point than now. Not because I own a few, I just feel it's several levels above most of the drek that's being released. I also feel as if many books that get optioned are really not taking off as in the past. May be speculation burn out, or because we hear so many announcements, or because the series optioned (many cases) was not a stellar series on paper. Who knows. I do however feel that the release issues and the amount of stores that put 215 on the shelves also downplays it's worth but that's just me. I'm not familiar with Sixth Gun but hear it's an extremely well done series similar to what many say about Enormous. Show comes, awesome. If not, that's cool too because I love the premise of the story and Mehdi's work is top notch.
  9. He's a board member. Though he has lurked more than participated. I've bought from him a few times. Cool, he was extremely friendly in our interaction earlier. Always stinks to get non paying bidders, let alone back to back. I was more hoping he had a few more, okay just a 9.8
  10. That is pretty low for a 9.8, the SS by the cover artist and not Tim or Mehdi may not be for the masses.
  11. I asked the seller and was told the last two did not pay. Was hoping they had quite a few and a 9.8 waiting in the winds to sell No such luck, just the same 8.5 people are not paying for.
  12. That's odd, I can't imagine they have multiple 8.5's and are just copying the pic but you never know, do exist. Have you messaged the seller? May just be getting hit with non paying buyers.
  13. I'd say the Heroes is a nice one to have, as well as the CBLDF ( Awax ) Print run may or may not be a bit smaller on the Heroes but I'd guess the CBLDF will have far less 9.8's on the census due to the black cover. Justified was on FX and they were not shy of making it a bit edgy. Hopefully SB will also made of that quality. If it's made that is. At this rate by 2020 the only thing on television would be comic book optioned series. That would be awesome! Now if we could get more shows that were on the air developed into comic series!
  14. Yesterday my wife said the word "combo" and the words combo pack shot through my brain followed by an image of your avatar. True story.
  15. If I don't figure out how to get the scanner up and running I bought today I am going to have an ENORMOUS mess of scanner parts scattered around my office! #electronicsareevil
  16. Free worker in Texas here as well! I am pretty sure they have to pay all involved, extras included. I'm pretty sure wherever it is filmed (New Mexico...tax break, rural, and the White Sands!) several boardies would be stoked to be an extra and paid with variants.
  17. Thanks Nate! My lame boom certainly didn't do it justice. If I recall correctly it took TWD 5 years to air after its initial announcement. Guess it all depends on the fast track taken and how much goes into making it as high quality as the book. I would not expect it on the air too quickly. I'm happy to wait!
  18. You know those freak show exhibits that charge a $1 or so to see the bearded lady etc. I'd happily pay $1 to see your TWD collection James! Let's say booth #1 at NYCC 2015!
  19. Ugh, I know a step exists about acceptance. As in accepting very unlikely I'll be acquiring a 9.8
  20. So close Reed! Admitting it is the first step, you're almost about the start your journey into Undercopy Anonymous! (Step 2: Sell me your Crow 1 9.8 when you secure a SS)
  21. Hmm, I wasn't aware of this one. I absolutely love Akira, it's a thing of absolute beauty IMO. I just can't comprehend it working nearly as well in live action. I'll hope for the best though. I'd like it if they took a more drama approach through the story line in a gritty way rather than far fetched "live" action special effects cheesy nightmare.
  22. I'm pretty psyched (I'm sure who ever sees my pics of any books I sell is as well ) to have finally located a scanner that I'm picking up tonight at an incredible price. It's a fully complete HP 8250. I'm going to brand new to this so are their any tips I should know about? Either for this model or in general? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
