  1. Very nice indeed! Congrats and I am happy to help.
  2. Awwww.. But in all seriousness, I think that whether Miles appears in the movie or not, this book will now always command a slight premium, since it had brought more awareness to the character. It was going for 120 +/- in 9.8 before the movie hype and it will probably be a 150-200 book even if not optioned. Just my opinion. Agreed. This book is going to move...unless they kill him off... Somebody got a heck of a deal on those you pointed out last night. I think this book is probably dead for now. At least from the speculator/flipper point of view. My 2 cents. -J. I agree it's got a low pulse. Don't worry Jay, I pull another 9.8 I'll hook you up for your Sig line. It's the right thing to do

  4. Was that me? Bleeding Cool Rich! Welcome to the boards! And I see what you mean- that article I pointed to was NOT written by you- so I take it all back! You are more spot on than I gave you credit for! But seriously, I always order what you say to get on Bleeding Cool, and am never disappointed.
  5. Shame on you - look at your icon! Look at it! No way am I showing any less love to Saga and don't think I'd ever part with my Saga RRP. I may be off the wall but really feel Enormous has the makings to become a several thousand dollar slab. Especially the NYCC. So many others that have gone into that realm with nothing in the works. Look at the Mouse Guard HTF books. Some of them fetch thousands raw with a similar print run and I don't know a single person that reads it. Perhaps some feel it has the making of the next TMNT? Not sure, but if this launches into a top notch television series that is continued it very well may blow the doors off TWD slab prices. Easy TWD crew, just a reference. Ok fine Sir now you are making perfect sense. I definitely don't expect an individual who appears to be selling off the majority of the Enormous books he owns to see the possibilities. I never said that Enormous will fetch more than certain books. Just that it is a possibility, as is anything. Of course the series needs a ton more readers, successful show, etc etc. If I make as much sense as someone selling of their lot yet continues to post in this thread then I'm good.

  7. Dare I say it? The Enormous NYCC will pass the Saga RRP high on the GPA. I said it. Okay, okay. A bold statement indeed. I just like all of its ingredients and can easily see this happening.
  8. I also do not feel if CGC decided to slab the Treasury it would pick up much heat from collectors. Personally I rank it below several 215 #1's, as does the market. Here is how I see them, this is just me. 1) NYCC 2) Phantom 3) #1 Cover A 4) Treasury 5) #1 Cover B The NYCC is clearly fetching the most money and has the smallest amount printed for a #1, second print yeah yeah, the cover is sick, and it won't hit the market often. Now the Phantom (first print) does have only 544 printed, yet I see cover A taking the lead from this one someday, it's beautiful but it's not a Mehdi cover. Cover A is my pick as the one that is the most sought after by the masses as the series grows and announcements roll in. It may very well be the imagery tied to the television series, and branding sells. Being Mehdi's cover also furthers the pull for it. The Treasury is awesome and I love mine. I just disconnected it from the 215 series in my mind and it appears many others have as well. Or the fact it would be the size of a screen door slabbed. Cover B is cool, yet not in the collecting caliber as the others. How do you guys see it?
  9. Wow you move fast! I was just staring at it. Nice pick up for sure. Did you not say just yesterday it was time to slow down? And you know, let some of us get some books too?
  10. Wow you move fast! I was just staring at it. Nice pick up for sure.
  11. This is where I feel the NYCC should be around when up for sale. Second printing or not. It's still a #1 http://www.ebay.com/itm/231490522220?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT That's bananas.
  12. And so it begins again: Step 1: A thread is started on the boards to pump a book. Step 2: A couple of exorbitantly high fake "buy it nows" are clicked on ebay to spike GPA and create a "paper trail" on ebay. Step 3: Coming soon! The $335 sale was legit. Paid and already shipped. -J.
  13. Time to make some room..ehh Emm cough cough Universal Saga RRP to me..wtb wtt
  14. +1! I actually like the finished product more than the PDF we were first exposed to. I think it flows even better as it is. Super sharp, bravo Larry.
  15. I agree it's definitely not for everyone. I thought is was a very solid #1 been though it's not my preference of reads. Sometimes it hard to be fair when shifting from reading Preacher type books to a SG type book but I feel SG #1 is worthy of the kind reviews it's receiving. I also applaud your "off topic", that thing is awesome!
  16. 9 new 9.8's were been added between January 6 and February 17, 2015. That's an average of nearly 2 a week. And that's even before the fake price spike. This common book is neither "rare" nor "tough" in a 9.8. -J. See, I knew I'd get some clarity. Two a week for a book from 1977 is quite a bit. Thanks Jay, I wasn't sure how long ago I looked at the census.
  17. Over the last few months I think I've seen 9 more 9.8's added to the census. I'd think more would have popped up by now. Yet I have not watched the 9.6 numbers, they may increase a bunch.
  18. Well just point me in the direction of a slabbed copy for sale ...
  19. I think many people thought that about the 1:300 ASM and that's Spidey himself. It's a tough call, For it to climb it would have to push EOSV Land even higher being the first appearance and the only variant. Is that even possible so soon, I mean that book has been on fire and they don't even have dust on them yet.
  20. Oh, it's not mine. We can add me to the list for 2 9.8's.

  22. Am I wrong in thinking that the Hughes MIGHT be a $300 9.8 in a year, tops?
  23. Went into a shop this morning I've never been to. The gentleman was still pulling books out from the Diamond shipment and I am the only one in the shop. Awesome right? First dibs at a few SG variants! Not so much, he ordered 24 copies. Can't wait for the Phantoms though!
