  1. It'll top 600 is my guess.

Maybe so - seems way early to me for that sort of price, but then you only need two bidders (or one bidder and one shill :frustrated: ) to bid a book up! Still... times like this make me think the cross media value bump on books is out of control - it seems like every one of them gets bid on like they're the next Walking Dead, despite the probability of that ever happening again.

Problem with this book is if it's the next walking dead it will get even more insane with these print runs. You're talking 1-3k for a #1 and 3-5k for a nycc #1 which sounds crazy when I type that but the book just wasn't released to the masses and most will be in private collections. I know I might sell one or two copies but the original run I bought off the stands will never leave my hands.

I will do my best to choke down one of these comics - in a slab - if one sells for $5000 anytime soon :)

The likelihood isn't great but if the series is popular hold on and enjoy the ride.

  3. well i got my final Mile High invoice... 2 NM Enormous #1 Phantom variants for 25 a piece... being shipped out in next couple days... now to just hunt down issues 1 through 3... gonna be a lot of driving to all of the LCS tomorrow...

Wonder how his happened ?!? If true

I think Mile High doubled the price a day or 2 ago.

  4. None of my 4 lcs have ever carried any enormous

At my pull shop, when I added the book well before the order cut off for #1, I tried to sell it a little bit to the owner, but he didn't think his clientele would be interested. He is probably right for the most part.

He ended up ordering a single issue of each of the first six issues just for me. I was the only guy pulling it.

Same here. Was the only person that had it on their pull list in my area up until issue 4. Talked 2 other guys into reading the first couple issues and they jumped on board after that.

  5. We are on the upswing now- if I was a seller, I would hold a while- some of the pros on here probably know when to hold'em, and know when to sell'em!

If you're wanting to make a quick profit and aren't in for the long haul then the next few days is probably the best time for that. I doubt I'd sell any right now but if someone's willing to pay a premium then I could see a few sellers wanting to free up some cash for other stuff.

  6. Most RRP's are second or third printings what is the problem? Enormous has one, I repeat 1 con variant of the #1 issue and its only a 100 print run. Nuff said!

I think the NYCC #1 will always be the top dog just because of print run but as I mentioned before the two that I always prized in my collection were 1A and Phantom #1. Maybe personal preference but NYCC just didn't have the same appeal to me as those others.
