  1. I think we had an upper hand with Larry sharing the news of this being a book to buy prior to it hitting the shelves. Other sites either haven't mentioned it much or are just now catching on. Look at Comic Book Resources. They mentioned it, ( http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=59313 ), yet because there is no DC, Marvel, or Image icon on the cover there isn't one comment in that community. (shrug) The spec sites are talking about it but I think it could be mainstream before the majority of comic sites catch on. lol

Also add the fact that Tim comes on here and has hinted several times to hold on to your books. It was a no-brainer for me to invest in this title, epic art, great story = lots of upside!

    (thumbs u

This. Tim made it pretty obvious what was going on in earlier posts. After I finished my personal run I added quite a few books because of what he said.

  2. Midtown has the first trade up for preorder for only $6.99!

Wow. Thank you to The Authority for recommending this book. I took his advice and am so thankful I got on board early. If you haven't checked this book out yet now's your chance for $7. The art is AMAZING and the writing is not far behind. Can't wait to see what's in the future for ENORMOUS!

  3. Pretty much validated my comments with that response. Post less.
personally, I think RMA is one of the best posters on the boards. His points are always well thought out and reasonable, and he doesn't argue from emotion or butthurt. I don't always agree with him but I appreciate his posts. If you don't agree, refute him (shrug) you don't have to like him but he's usually right.

Mike, you are right, RMA actually is one of the best posters on this forum. He comes off as a know it all sometimes, but he does know a lot so that's ok. it annoys me a bit, since I know a good amount to, but ive never complained outside of my own thoughts lol. The problem starts when you question something he posts, counter anything he says he refuses to discuss it. It seems the more you are right, the less he talks. (shrug)

You know I'm right here, and can read this, right...? It's not like I'm out of earshot in another room...these posts stay here... :screwy:

I "come off like a know it all" because people are overly sensitive, and don't like to be challenged. The issue isn't me, the issue is those of you who get upset when someone criticizes what you post, and you adopt a "well, he's just a know it all, anyways!" attitude, to soothe the hurting of the butt, when, if you didn't tie up your ego in what you know, you wouldn't have that problem in the first place.

What you don't understand is that the issue is YOU, not your really rather silly "it seems like the more you are right, the less he talks" claim, which anyone with about 10 minutes of experience with me knows isn't true in the slightest. Refuse to discuss something...? Hi, my name is RMA...have we met?

I simply don't wish to discuss things with YOU, because the discussions lead to all of THIS (as I point at the last 25 or so posts.) That doesn't, however, prevent me from pointing out when you are in error.

Now...how about we stop talking about each other, and get back to the topics, huh?

    As usual.. :blahblah:

  4. I love how EVERY thread that's longer than a month old has RMA attacking someone's comments then saying they're getting too emotionally involved when he goes at them even harder. *Waits for RMA's drawn out reply as to why. Then, another reply saying I'm getting emotionally involved if I respond with anything other than kissing his * :blahblah: (thumbs u

  5. Dave bought a New Mutants 98 9.6 off of me and paid with mind-blowing speed and precision! All jokes aside the guy is a complete asset to the community and I wish there were 100,000 more just like him. Thanks for such a smooth transaction and hope we can do it again sometime.

    Bigs

  6. People buying at those wild prices can't expect to get their money back. I only hope they are spending that much because they love the art and story so much...

I said the same thing when New Mutants 98 hit $400 for a 9.8 a few months ago. Now they're selling for $700-$800. This hobby never ceases to amaze me that's for sure.

  7. DEAD-POOL by a country mile. Leaving Spawny in the dust.

Your right as of now,but in the long run

Spawn is the tortoise, while Deadpool is the hare in this race.

    :)

I for one thought Spawn was amazing from the beginning and still think the character hasn't touched his potential yet. The story line for Spawn was solid and the artwork was amazing in my opinion. Spawn #1s cover is still one of my favorites to this day. The B&W Variant of that book is still on my want list.

  8. They're killing me. Hang in there with me men. On the other hand, I got my comps for:

    #1 - 2nd Printing

    #1 - Phantoms (Kaiju Special/BW)

    #1 - NYCC 215Ink Extreme Limited

    #4 - NYCCs (both covers)

    #4 - Standard/Alternate (Oeming)

    They look amazing.

    Glorious!

All pre-orders will begin shipping next week.

    PiDv7W4.png

    Yeah...

Just got my invoice for next week.

    Nothing.

    The wait continues...

Wow...this is kinda unreal/unlucky for this title. Based on Larry's note, that means the only issue to ship when scheduled for this series was #1. Sucks for the creators/writers since they seem to be on the ball with everything.

    Patiently waiting for 10/15/14.

Ive got a feeling it will be worth the wait

  9. It's a sweet copy. (Unlike some of the junk sold here on the boards).

Im not a professional by any means but if I got that copy in the mail I wouldn't be happy. Dinged up corner and noticeable spine issues. No chance at that being a 9.8 from even the most generous of graders.

    Agreed, it's a Tomato Boxer.

Y'know, anyone who actually bought a book from me would never make a joke like that. Long live the naysayers.

And btw, bighaley21 doesn't even know what book he's looking at. lol

Well that's because I was looking at 2 books that were graded wrong. You have this one which is inaccurately graded a 9.8. Then you have this one which is inaccurately graded a 9.6. Either way it's bad business imo.

Well he only claims it to be a 9.6 but after looking at the scans I don't think even a 9.6 is in the realm of possibility.

That's part of the reason he doesn't sell those raw books here with those grades. More suckers on Ebay.

    Just saw that 9.6.
