  1. Sears toy dept was the place to go when i was a kid ... Sears had a toy section up until the early 80's it was heaven on Earth ! and Sears also had a candy shoppe and cafeteria which were superb
  2. these are reader copies only, no value ,,, not much difference than had you found an old pile of newspapers.....
  3. eBay, on line dealers and comic cons is where to get older comics ... an LCS is for newer comics 90% of the time...
  4. no i am talking about one of the single most desired coins in the hobby , a famous coin almost everyone has heard of, a coin most collectors can only dream of owning , the ultimate holy grail of the Lincoln cents which is going on 111 years strong , and now an obscure modern comic book costs just as much , when compared with each other a lot of people are going to start realizing that the 1909 - SVDB is a huge bargain these days

looks like Ned Leeds girlfriend from the early ditko ASM issues
  6. thanks for the heads up, i'm out of here now along with everyone else
  7. coin collecting is looking better and better , so many great keys seem cheap these days compared to comics much easier to liquidate when it comes time to sell parts of your collection... silver just rose to $23,00 an ounce,,, heck if an Alf 48 is a 1K book now then i can get a nice 1909-SVDB lincoln cent for the same price
  8. my all-time holy grail which i will probably never get ! also if i ever get one i really want SC 1-3 also !!!
  9. Hard to say from the small photos provided , but definitely worth getting pressed and CGC graded and then let us know what the grade is and then also ....

    Jerry Lewis 123

i've been going over the pictures of the run and looked at the registry ... i like obscure DC runs (like Rex Wonder Dog) and you have picked a nice one to collect in the Jerry Lewis run !!! lots of cool covers!
  12. never heard this one before and its not too bad

    Jerry Lewis 123

i don't know about you but if i was collecting the run and was offered a Jerry Lewis signed comic by Jerry Lewis himself that would offset any low numerical grade , i don't know if there is any Jerry signed books ? ? Neal Adams SS series would be the same ! the signature would positively offset any lower numerical grade and would likely be even more valuable
