  6. this great cover was printed right on time,, the Germans only declared war on the U.S. Dec 8th 1941, one day after Pear Harbor , this issue, with a cover date of Jan 1942, came out just 23 days later
  7. cover shows a very rare instance of a Japanese soldier surrendering , for instance - at the famous battle of Tarawa, Of the 3,636 Japanese defending the atoll, only one officer and sixteen enlisted men surrendered.
