  1. I do as well but I also want to be respectful of the hosts here. But with Borock being former president of CGC for nearly a decade and also being a great representative of the hobby (and a friend) I also don't think it's fair to allow trashing of a competitor company without having any facts. If there were ANY facts that would be a different story, but so far it's just hot hair. And I don't care if it's PGX or CBCS - I think it's wrong to just spin internet rumors just because you don't like the company.
  2. Every business struggles in it's opening years to find a balance so it's no surprise that any new business has failings and short comings. CGC had many growing pains, but 19 years later some may not even realize it.
  3. Not worth replying to but worth quoting for posterity. 24 / 7
  4. He doesn't get to me at all. I just think that when someone is disruptive and knowingly unreasonable that exposing them is a good course of action. But I'll back off so as not to derail the thread any longer. There were just a few guys on here that didn't realize what Jaydogrules was about I thought it was important to show them.
  5. It's all speculation about a law suit that none of us have any details to. Aren't you a lawyer yourself? Probably better to let legal proceedings take their course than to throw darts on the internet.
  6. No, you initially said it was created to sell to CGC and nothing could be further from the truth. Enough people have dealt with me here over the last 14 years for everyone to know that I always make good on my word but let's not make this about me again, OK?
  7. That link just takes you back to this thread.
  8. You have no idea why the other company was created, how they are doing financially, why they were bought by another company or anything else about them and yet you continue to attempt to discredit them with your oinions which are baseless. You're a faceless shadow, a coward hiding behind the internet making things up about honorable people who have done more for this hobby than most. People who have more respect in this hobby in their little pinky than you will have in your entire existence.
  9. Since we have a few lawyers on the board. 2 questions. Are these statements libel and secondly is CGC at risk being dragged into it given they facilitate these statements. Purely curiousity as we all know that the best way to handle people such as this is to ignore. I wanted to make sure to preserve all of this stuff in case Jaydogrules tries to edit it. So much libel, misinformation and lies. Unbelievable. What do you do for a living again, Jaydogrules?
  10. None. It's just talk by two people who have presented no facts and lots of imagination. That's not to say whether they are or are not having financial issues but so far it's all just empty speculation.
  11. Another Mitch Mhedy. Great. You also have no idea what you're talking about.
  12. You have no idea what you are talking about.
  13. I don't go out as often as I used to but man, Portland is such a gorgeous city. Will do!
  14. You're north of me, reptile. Did you move to Arizona? Look at a map. Toronto is further south of the 49th parallel than Portland is. Look at a map, hippie. Lakeview is way south of Portland. There is nowhere in Canaduh souther than Lakeview. Guilty as charged. Backwoods lizard.
  15. It's probably due to the scanner more than the software. Some scanners just do it more than others.
  16. You're north of me, reptile. Did you move to Arizona? Look at a map. Toronto is further south of the 49th parallel than Portland is.
  17. Hey, I am not defending their choice. I don't use PGX. But anyone who has spent any time in the comic scene in the northwest knows that they are really popular up there.
  18. Daredevil #1 CGC 7.0 OWW - no glaring defects. Back cover is clean as well. Asking $4000 $3800
  19. They are heavily used by dealers in the northwest and some other west coast dealers. And it's nothing nefarious. They just are cheap and quick and those dealers continue to sell books.
  20. Shipping: Certified books, shipping is included within North America, ROW we split it. Raw books, include $10 for shipping within North America. ROW I will split with interested parties. Who wins: Time stamp seals the deal as to who wins regardless of the form of communication (including PM, in the thread, text or phone conversation). A negotiation is not a deal until both sides have agreed on terms. If there is an unconditional posted (or communicated) it will trump all negotiations unless we have already both agreed to terms before the was posted. In that case, the will have been in vain. Except that it will give you street cred and look cool to passers by. No House Of Shame or Probationary members or any others of ill repute. Returns: I am considered a very good grader among my peers ( Here is a link to my kudos thread ) but since even CGC is inconsistent I will not guarantee a CGC grade. I will guarantee to be within one grade increment in either direction - so if I am calling the book a 9.4 it could go 9.2 or 9.6. If it falls outside of those parameters (and it does happen that they go in both directions), I will offer a refund. But I don't expect anyone to complain if I undergraded it. I will accept returns if item is otherwise not as described. Consider all books pressed. Payment: Paypal, bank wire, check or MO.
