Did you get any pics of any of the other displays?

FF #48 was a warehouse find. That's why it's fairly common in higher grades, but the book is a key appearance of one of the best known 2nd tier characters in all of comics. I'm not too worried about it's value and the appeal of the character transcends genres. Comparing an FF #48 to 49 or 50 is not a fair comparison. FF #48 is a monster book IMO.

There will finally be a good Fantastic Four movie

The Inhumans. I agree. Just like they did with a previous X-men movie. It was awesome. -

Disney announces deal to acquire Fox studios
VintageComics replied to mar-vell's topic in Comics General
Actually never thought about my collection, was more along the lines of Marvel characters in the same universe Apologies. I didn't think of it that way. Too used to the new 'pump and dump' mentality of the chat forum lately. jaybuck43's post is very informative. @jaybuck43 - do you see the merger happening in the end as it looks to be pretty significant. Or do you see the current administration as looking on it favorable because of the current trendy view towards big business? -

If there are anti-trust issues that can affect the general public, do you still want it to get approved quickly just so that you collection can be worth more? -
Dice works for Voldemart and is also pretty busy so he likely doesn't frequent this chat forum much.

Pretty paranoid huh ...? CGC has made it clear that they don't want any promotion of other grading companies, so he was just complying.

Justice League - restarting the thread

Agreed. That's what I said about BVS as well. Too much movie for the short time allowed. WB would have done much better to split these two movies into multiple separate movies (maybe 4). -
Canadian Paypal classaction lawsuit
VintageComics replied to CycloneComics's topic in Comics General
Most Canadians like to receive $US because most of our purchases and sales are done that way. I can't speak for everyone. Just like @comicwiz, I was set up to receive $US but now it only arrives as such if the $US buyer does the extra step by choosing $US as the funds the recipient receives. Paypal has added that extra step to hoodwink people in an effort to skim a little extra from unknowing sellers. -
Canadian Paypal classaction lawsuit

Something like that.I have to make sure that the one i'm sending money to gets what currency i'm sending too.Sent US dollars to a UK boardie once and PP changed the money to pounds.Have had US dollars sent to me changed to loonies as well... What happens is that if you DO NOT choose the fund the recipient gets, they get what Paypal chooses. So if you send $10 US and don't choose the outgoing funds, the recipient (in this case Canadian unfortunately ;-p ) gets approx $12.00 CAN (1.20 exchange from US to CAN when it would normally be 1.24 so Paypal takes a few cents on the dollar). Except they might have wanted $ US and in that case would have received $10 US instead. Now, if they have $ CAN in their account, they will likely need to pay for their next eBay purchase in $ US and so now they pay with the $ CAN they have and Paypal once again takes an exchange premium so they lose 3-4% in the other direction as well. Boom. Paypal has double dipped into your wallet...without anyone realizing it. It used to be that when someone sent $ US I received $ US. That is no longer the case. Some executive somewhere realized there was wool to be pulled over people's eyes so they mucked with the exchanges and even had the gall to call it a glitch. This is apparently the way of doing business in the common age. Now, if you don't specifically ask for the recipient to receive $ US they don't. And Paypal makes money in all directions. That used to be called robbery when I was a youngin' The red circle on the right (the 2nd circle) is the important one: -
Canadian Paypal classaction lawsuit

yeah it would It would but there are so many other companies stepping in it would just be a matter of time to change over to them or another company to take it's place. The cost of justice is great. The cost of avoiding it is greater. Big money should not be allowed to steal from people just because it's too convenient. -

You should message them as well as post on Twitter. Any info that can help their case the better and those older threads have a wealth of information in them. -
Canadian Paypal classaction lawsuit

If you mean no longer offer PayPal in Canada, that would be a royal PITA Could you see a major entity like Paypal stop servicing an entire country? I don't think so. Further, you guys aren't thinking this through. The problem is not only Canada. It's every country that does not use the $US. There's no way they're dropping Canada, furthermore this suit could be a benchmark to help other countries fight Paypal as well. Business is one thing. Greed and fraudulent manipulation of markets is not business. -

Without question the most evil update to it's terms that Paypal has ever done. Early on when it happened, I had a ticket opened with Paypal to investigate. Even their front line people had no idea why it was happening and assured me it was a glitch. It's no glitch. It's another cash grab, lining Paypal's pockets will millions by shaving a small percentage off every transation. Show me where to sign up. -
I didn't take it as you stirring the pot, but I'm just trying to moderate the expectation that if a book doesn't double price in a year that it's flat. That is not healthy for the hobby. Hulk #1 has been appreciating at a historical rate. It's continuing to climb. It's just not multiplying like some books. To me that makes jumping into a Hulk #1 a safer bet at this point.
