  1. Lou and Rhona. They happen to have exactly the same background so they were chatting it up like old friends. Lou and Rhona both have East Indian blood which accounts for the darker complexion with UK roots.
  2. Yup. We met her in Chicago last year and she looks just as good in person as she does in pictures, which is not often the case with Hollywood types. She's a real, genuine sweet heart.
  3. There was a time when you couldn't give away a 7.0/7.5 copy. I remember seeing them float around on eBay with no takers. I think the book has become more popular as of late. I think it's a great book. Although not at the top of my list, I'd love to own one.
  4. She has not been aging well. She's trying too hard to be skinny. I vote for Rhona Mitra (after Louise of course)
  5. Have some Timely, DC books dropped in price as well as some new Nedors added.
  6. Gang, had a busy day setting up shop and so I am scanning today. Soon....
  7. Hey gang. Going to list some Silver Age and BA Marvel/DC (raw) in the next day or two. Mainly the larger titles (ASM, Batman) etc.
  8. if you don't like early timely's, ... ...then you don't love funny books...
  9. Hey gang. I have my eye on a few books and so I am going to try and move a few books from my personal collection to be able to afford them. Reasonable time payments are a possibility. PM me with any questions. Here's the thread: Relisting some GA Timely and DC books at cost or less.
  10. Miswraps, like all other defects, are taken into account based on the size of the defect. If the defect is small enough, it will be allowed in 9.9. In this case the miswrap is slight enough to be allowed in the grade. There is a great chart in the OSPG grading guide that shows how many and which defects are allowed in each specific grade. It's really good info. Can't find the pics I had right now but they are worth studying.
  11. Beautiful. If it's the same book, I remember bidding on this a few years ago at, I think, Heritage: 8.5, white pages, perfect registration -- a real gem. I believe it to be an historically significant book as a first hint of the Marvel Age --- the first Lee/Kirby/Ditko/Heck book of the long running series. (thumbs u How does this book hint at the Marvel Age?
  12. A decent mid grade Peanuts #6. Man this Dell stuff is fun to look through but a pain to catalog.
  13. This is not all GA stuff, but about 1/2 is and this sort of stuff seems to be collected by the GA minded crowd so I thought I'd repost this here: Hey gang. I am just processing an original owner Dell collection from the 1950's to the 1960's. The collection varies in content with some sporadic lower grade copies in the early 1950's and the bulk of the issues being from the late 1950's to the early 1960's. There are about 200 books total including some books with Barks work. Mostly Walt Disney oriented stuff with a few other odds and ends. There's also a few nice square bounds that are really tough to find in nice shape. Grades vary roughly from 2.0 range to 7.0 range. What is really neat about the collection is that the original owner made his own tidy numerical and alphabetical catalog markings on almost every book to be able to keep track of them. I hope to start posting stuff tomorrow. Wish me luck.

  15. The tape will bring it down quite a bit, as will wear that does not show up in the scan. There is a bit of spine stress and corner wear there as well. The miscut won't affect the grade in that range. I bid on that but didn't really follow the auction. Maybe I should have.
  16. Dang, that's really pretty. Did you bid on any of the Amazing Adventures?
  17. You could post it in the appropriate age forum (GA) or in the mixed forum. Either will work.
  18. Rob, the rules are relatively simple. If you want to sell here just make sure it's an exclusive offer on the boards. Make some mention of references or people that can vouch for you if you haven't sold here before. It'll help build some trust for prospective buyers. eBay references, other dealers or board members. Whatever you can use to help build trust. If you grade fair and price fair (books and shipping costs) then you should be ok. Clear scans will help represent the books. Somebody will inevitably start something in your thread. Just stay cool and grow a thick skin. Have fun. (thumbs u
