  1. It was a monumental weekend for me. I took delivery of my Marvel Comics #1, my Marvel Mystery Comics #9 and also picked up the Lloyd Jacquet file copy of Marvel Mystery Comics #6 this weekend in Philly. The Marvel #1 was a 25 year dream. Thanks to Bedrock for getting me addicted almost 3 years ago and taking my money ever since. He's a real gentleman. I know you've seen these enough but allow me one more time. The weekend was a little surreal as I couldn't really enjoy each book individually. It was a lot of sensory overload. I'll try to get over it. Also kudos to Rick for working with me on the #9. Yes that's me holding the book of books with my bare hands and I'd have it no other way.
  2. Well, y'all. I went ahead and did it. A new addition to my collection so add me to the list. When I get it I am actually thinking about cracking it and posting pics of the interior.
  3. Very cool. I'm looking for a #84 in 8.0 or higher. I regret selling my 8.0 now.
  4. Nice. Where did you pass on the 8.0...it wasn't eBay in about 2005 was it?
  5. I was thinking about adding another to my collection actually. I really wouldn't mind having a reader copy either.................... Watch it, buddy, or I'll pull a Calamerica & buy them all up. FUELMAN (who is not afraid to back that up!) I would definitely be interested in doing that!

  8. Some real beauties Richard but Bulletman just never did it for me. I absolutely loved Bulletman as a kid. Still do. Love 'em!
  9. i love it. i really do. daring 3 is a plum. and would it were that all my vg-f's looked like that. did you know that only a last-minute editorial decision gave us the name of the s'hero on the cover? he was originally conceived as "the purple mask, crew neck, gloves and belt". I was always partial to the yellow arrow stocking avenger It's the pink and purple that you're partial to.
  10. YUP. I agree and want a #1 bad. There was a restored copy in Chicago last year but it seemed to have too much work done to it with too little eye appeal IIRC. That whole mini run is spectacular when I actually think about it...for what it was, it sure has left us with some wonderful art. R.
  11. last 3 years has not been the time to buy darings...they just keep going up and up In that case, three years ago was exactly the right time to buy Darings! Jack Daring Mystery #3 is one of my favorite Schomburg covers of all time. Am I ever glad I picked up my 5.0 copy from Nearmint a little over a year ago. It's probably a top 3 Schomburg cover for me.
  12. Wow, super common book it seems. Incredibly sweet...and I'm a Marvel Zombie!
  13. Hands down. This book blows me away every time I see it and the story is just killer!
  14. Nothing piques my interest quite like a cover portraying the adventures of superheroes doing calisthenics. Pre cursor to yoga?
  15. Dropped the Li'l Abner and Adventure books for sale in this thread and have this gorgeous Startling Comics #27 with an absolutely gorgeous Schomburg WW 2 cover for sale in this thread just in case someone doesn't frequent the Selling Forum much. (thumbs u
  16. Hey I have much respect for Jerry but he might be the only one who feels that way. matter fact he has like 26 more books listed as more important. How many of those 26 also have pink covers?
