  1. I've never had a gun pulled on me, but I've been driven completely off the side of the highway twice in the last decade ... at full speed!
  2. The fact that they are easy to work with does not make it acceptable that they do not get necessary payment changes from new orders.
  3. @Gabeg78Please post the outcome. I am very curious.
  4. I've never been a signature chaser, but if I were, I think I would like to have sigs like this one, where you can actually read the name.
  5. I've been coming here for about 8 years. People have been warning about a coming bust since day one.
  6. He probably just used his card template. If not, and he actually is charging $8000 for this card, he's a person_who_is_obnoxiously_self-impressed.
  7. Imagine a world where nobody had to worry about others trying to take advantage of them ... Ebay, car warranties, Nigerian princes, now student loans, the list goes on and on.
  8. I just checked Ebay. I couldn't find a single copy of either WCA #45 or Avengers #186 with a Mark Jewelers notation on the CGC label. I checked the sold listings, also ... none.
  9. The reason that I'm so interested in this thread is because I have an Avengers 186 MJ with no notation on the label. Yes, I did indicate that it was a MJ copy on the submission form.
  10. hmmm, that's weird. I found this one on Ebay advertised as a MJ, but no mention of it on the label. If CGC chooses to put that notation on some comics, but not others, what's to stop people from advertising their CGC comics as Mark Jewelers copies?
  11. @Jennifer F. Is this something that CGC notes on their labels? For all books with the insert?
  12. Go ahead and meet him ... in the parking lot of your local police station.
  13. Sheesh, mangled is the right word. What is it with cowardly employees? "Hey boss. I screwed up." Are people afraid to say that these days?
  14. So your options are ... go along with the permanent ban, suck it up, and don't use Ebay ever again. Or...make another account, which they 'could' detect and ban you ... again. I know what I'd do.
  15. Let's say you submit a bunch of books and a couple get rejected. Does the reason for the rejection dictate whether or not you get charged? Let's say they get rejected for explicit gore/sex. I'm assuming that the graders make this decision and they won't even grade the books. Am I still charged? Let's say they're rejected for too much overhang. Can I assume this is not a decision that the graders make, but rather the encapsulater. I'm guessing they've already been graded by the time they're rejected. Am I still charged? Am I charged for all rejects, regardless of why?
  16. six of one, half dozen of the other
  17. So I guess we need to know what their definition of 'extreme' is.
  18. I just paid for my books. They charged me $25 for shipping, I think that's typical for me. As far as I know, they go by number of books when figuring shipping ... not value. But don't quote me.
  19. Never. Incorrect information, but never completely missing.
  20. Winnings from the auction that just ended ... for me, anyways. Just never got bit with the OA bug. A little of this and a little of that
