I asked @Jennifer F.about all the scuffing a while back. Her response seemed to put the blame on the manufacturer - like they received them like that. Seems to indicate a "we paid for them, we're going to use them" mentality on CGC's part. Still begs the question ... why is QC finding these slabs acceptable?

I had to appear a couple weeks ago. The judge asked the group if anyone had a good reason to be excused. Some guy stood up & said he was really nervous. The judge excused him.

Just curious ... What's the criteria for being approved to do this?

Think of it this way @Jennifer F.. At the time of the submission, the book was worth $200 (meeting the criteria for Modern tier), but with TATs the way they are, when the book is finally gotten to by the graders, it is now worth $1000 (NOT meeting the criteria for Modern tier).

re: training True. Also, I think I read where CGC employees aren't allowed to be in the buying/selling comic business, but I have to believe that some comic knowledge would be required ... to at least understand that these funny books should be handled with care.

There might be a link between hiring all these new employees and all the QC problems we've been seeing. Is inept a bad word?

Yeah, I'm with you, raw onions are an absolutely not. Caramelized are hit or miss ... sometimes they're good, sometimes not so much (maybe it's the type of onion used). I have no idea what onion straws are ... but they don't sound that good.

I can't stand onions on my burgers, but I love onion rings. It's weird.

I belong to the camp that finds TWSS to be somewhat annoying. I also belong to the camp that knows one person doesn't have the right to tell another what to do/say. I realized many years ago that what I like, someone else may not, and vice versa. I also belong to the camp (I belong to a lot of camps) that doesn't do what a mod says not to. It's not my forums.
