  2. He beat the game. The only thing to do now is return it. Remember those video rental places back in the late 90s? You could take out a video game, play it for a while, and then return it. That's what you are.
  3. Curious... I found this while looking thru Ebay listings... I was wondering if anyone here (I'm looking at you Frisco Larson) knows why BP was made to appear Caucasion. Is there anything racial to it? Or simply human error?
  4. Is it safe to assume that without Stan's signature this would've graded higher?
  5. No matter how hard I try not to, I always feel guilty.
  6. I talked to them a few weeks ago about frequent slow downs, and they told me the I was catching them when they do their server updates.
  7. When talking about SA superhero comics, I think hero vs hero is typically more valuable than those issues surrounding it. Keep in mind, valuable is subjective. Here's a couple of examples of hero vs hero...
  8. Completely non-comic related post... Seeing 'the 70s' and that you're from MI reminded me of the time Dave Rozema came into the little mom-n-pop grocery store I worked at when I was a teenager. He was such a person_who_is_obnoxiously_self-impressed while he was paying for his case of Stroh's that he bottomed out on my respect meter.
  9. This might sound a little weird, but one of the fondest memories I have revolving around collecting as a kid was showing off old SA Spideys to my dad. He had absolutely no interest in comics, and probably thought his oldest son was some kind of weirdo, but he never discouraged me from collecting comics, and whenever I showed him some books he would show interest (probably faking it) - but I felt like King Poop for a while.
  10. I've been surprised how much I've enjoyed sharing/showing off my collection. When I was a kid, I didn't know anyone else who was into comics. As I got older (and found others who shared the passion that I had) it was so much more enjoyable.
  11. Make no quick decisions. Oftentimes, people will lose the passion, only to regain it at a later date. I, like you, lost the 'bug' years ago ... but I regret selling most of my books at that time.
  12. and a few dozen variant covers.
  13. My grandma could shoot better than that Skrull.
  14. My opinion... The comic shifted. Look at the angles of the edges.
  15. i have no idea how QC works at CGC, but where I work, 1 widget out of 12 is taken off the line and inspected. If CGC works anything like this, where not every book is inspected, but a certain percentage is, I can totally understand missing some errors.
