  1. Wow. That's some history lesson. Impressive on your part.
  2. Pretend all of those books came back as a 9.8 ... which was probaly what the submitters were hoping for. Then " selling at either a loss or very marginal gains " wouldn't be an issue. They didn't come back 9.8, however, so they were dumped...auction, not BIN.
  3. I have no idea why I'm wondering this, but it crossed my mind last night. When I was actively reading comics, it was back in the 60s & 70s. I haven't read anything put out by Marvel in a couple of decades, but when I was a kid (and at the height of my comic reading), Spidey and DD had kind of a "I know your secret" relationship. Spidey and Johnny Storm also had a kind of a friendship. The thing is, I don't remember Spidey and Tony Stark ever having a friendship of any kind. The way Marvel likes to retcon stuff, though, I wouldn't be surprised if things are vastly different these days as opposed to back then. So is the relationship between Spidey and Iron Man anything close to the way it was portrayed in the movies?
  4. It's totally your call and it's also a total crapshoot, but something to think about ... I've had a handful of books rejected from a 9.8 prescreen, but after including them in subsequent 9.8 prescreens, they've passed.
  5. I've had a few reholders done because of mechanical error. If they expedited it, it sure wasn't by much.
  6. I get them quite frequently. I don't recall ever biting. But they don't annoy me.
  7. My Ebay rule is "Full or nothing".
  8. This isn't a car, it's 80-year-old paper. Be careful when handling it.
  9. Agreed. Way too many uses of the word pending.
  10. Got it. Didn't take it. After reading this thread, glad I didn't.
  11. I can only comment on my experience. GC is great for SA thru MA, if looking up a book that isn't too uncommon. If needing sales data on GA (or uncommon books) it's kind of hit-n-miss. I do think it's very beneficial that GC supplies pictures ... make things a lot easier for me.
  12. I'm exactly the same. Well, not exactly, It's only 3 books. But they were received 2/21 & SFG on 2/24. Plus, there is no bill. They overcharged me for the last modern sub, and I told them to put it towards this sub (it covered the whole thing)
  13. "Rob Liefeld just posted on Twitter that he won't sign any comics that carry the new Deadpool Label" Don't understand. CGC is asking him to sign the actual labels before they use them? How can he sign comics that have the label when the only way they can have the label is is they are already slabbed?
  14. Went to G/QC yesterday - 2/21. And for some reason my CC was charged immediately (for all 25 books). Seeing as how this sub has 12 rejects (you can all stop snickering), I think I'm due a refund (and I emailed them - but it's the weekend, so no reply yet). BTW - 3 book Economy submission Received - 2/21
  15. You suck! My 1/6 Modern PS is still at SFG.
  16. This is what mine did, also. The RECEIVED date changed.
  17. Looks like I don't have to make that call. They went to SFG this morning.
  18. Yep. I'll call later this week if there's still no movement (still at received). Oh well, I was batting 1.000 all these years, I was bound to have an issue sooner or later.
  19. Two-Gun Kid #77 CGC 9.0 The Boys #1 CGC 9.8 Tales To Astonish #62 CGC 8.0 Startling Terror Tales #11 CGC 3.0 (restored) Our Army At War #60 CGC 8.0 Batman #386 CGC 9.8 Amazing Spiderman #34 CGC 9.0
  20. This is the first CL auction I've had books in, and I wanted to give a shoutout to Jason Crosby. He's been very patient with me .. answering all my questions and walking me thru the process. My fingers have never been crossed so tight (except for the first time I played the lotto).
