  1. My value sub (4 books) that from 6/5 still sits at SFG.
  2. That off-center grade would drive me bonkers.
  3. I'm still not sure whether Arnold plays his T-800 or the guy who the T-800s were modeled after.
  4. <--- grammar Nazi I learned long ago when to use 'who' and when to use 'whom'. It's really quite easy.
  5. If, in the distant future, females are more dominant, maybe WW (Sensation) will make the history books?
  6. I hate going to the post office, so I always set my packages (whether it's a sub to CGC, a comic going to an Ebay buyer, or anything else) on the mail cart at work. Much simpler that way. So, seeing how today is Friday, I had to get my submission packaged up last night so I could take it to work today. I was in such a hurry, though, that the FMV that I entered totaled $1050. If I had just shaved $50 between all the books I would've saved on return shipping. It might not be a big deal to most, but, hey, 6 bucks is 6 bucks. Let this be a lesson to ya. Don't fill out the CGC online form while watching TV.
  7. Not necessarily easier, but more consistent.
  8. I wish CGC employees would participate on these boards. I think Lion's Den is an ex (I apologize if this isn't so), but some of these questions need answers. Wouldn't it be nice if a CGC grader would give us the skinny on 9.9s/10s? Wouldn't it be cool if a CGC QC employee chimed in on why so many NRs are received by us? Wouldn't it be awesome if a CGC employee answered the received delays fiasco?
  9. Modern Prescreen from 9/16 shipped today. About 1 month ... not bad. Did better this time. The first 9.8 prescreen I did had only 7 comics pass. The 2nd sub didn't do much better, only 11 passed. You know what they say though - "3rd time's the charm". This time 21 comics passed. Funny thing though, I had a book rejected from the first sub. Included it with the 2nd sub and it was rejected again. Included it in the 3rd sub (no pressing or anything beforehand) and it passed .
  10. I didn't like 90% of it. It veered far from the book, and some parts felt like they had nothing to do with the movie & were only put in because they were in the book.
  11. WTF? 4 months for reholders?
  12. Did Frank ever fess up? I suppose I could just read the thread and find out, but you know ... lazy.
  13. DD vs Torpedo - issue 127. I used to work with a guy who was into comics, I asked him what the first comic he ever bought. His answer, "DD 127". One of the great coincidences of all time.
  14. I know it's a long shot, but IF it comes back with the same grade it seems like a refund should come your way.
  15. I'm assuming just asking if they are a legit charity is OOTQ? They could be crooks, but if they are, they might be honest crooks. (Is there such a thing?)
  16. At least Newton Rings won't get lonely in the 'normal' category. They have Puddling to cuddle with.
  17. I bought a comic from Mike on Sep 18. The comic arrived extremely well packaged on Oct 2. That's 2 weeks and 1 day (including Sundays). Mike says he lives overseas, but in reality he lives down the street (from everybody).
