  1. Assuming Funko Pops aren't recyclable, they're all going to end up in a landfill eventually, whether they're sold now or not. The bigger question is why they're overproducing so many. If they want them to be collectable, they should only produce a small percentage over initial orders.
  2. Sometime around 1999-2000, I went into a stationery/gift store in my neighborhood looking for a copy of Baseball Weekly for my fantasy baseball league. There was a woman in front of me inquiring about when the new Beanie Babies were going to be released. All I could do is shake my head. I had seen what happened with the comic market a few years before, and baseball cards a few years before that. I knew the crash was coming, but also knew those collecting them weren't going to listen.
  3. I ordered 3 from DCBS as well, and they're on the list of items in my next shipment. I hate they don't have a system where they can carry your order over to the re-solicit.
  4. The key there being "usually"; I can see why someone dropping 5 figures on a book wants it in the original condition, not autographed. I will note as well that an SS Dell'Otto variant, which sold at the height of the comic market in 9.6, also sold for less than a Universal 9.6 prior to the height of the market. Using data from all label types is fine, but if you're comparing different comics with different labels, that's not a fair comparison. That's comparing apples to oranges. That's manipulating the data to support a pre-determined conclusion.
  5. The other UF4 was a SS, and there was not a comparable SS of 667, so it's not a wash, unless you're looking to make it wash to prop up 667.
  6. I'm in the same boat. I don't own either book and am not looking to buy either book. But if I was, I would be looking for a UF4, because it's got a much bigger upside. Generally, I can understand being a little wary of just looking at the last sale to determine a value, because sometimes there are outlier sales, and maybe there just aren't a lot of eyes on some sales. But these are both very visible books, and we have two instances of pretty much the perfect comparison of the books; sales in the same grade closing very near to each other on the same selling platform. And in both cases, UF4 is on top. And the comparable recent average shows UF4 is on top. If you want to go with something like a 5-year moving average, then I guess 667 wins out, but honestly who is going to care about that, except someone with an agenda to make a particular book the winner?
  7. We get it; you're creating the rules that support your conclusion.
  8. No mention of how the 667 sold for nearly 10K less as well?
  9. A copy of each book in the same grade sold on Heritage within days of each other, and UF4 won. A copy of each book in the same grade sold on ComicLink within days of each other, and UF4 won.
  10. That's just it; I'm looking at the relevant comparable data.
  11. UF4 wins in last sale, 90-day average, and 12-month average. It's clear it's the king right now.
  12. UF4 takes ASM 667 again! https://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAUCTIONS%2FPREVIEW.ASP%3Fcode%3D2023feb%26session%3D1%26pg%3D4%23Item_1662359&id=1662359&itemType=0 https://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAUCTIONS%2FSEARCH.ASP%3FFocusedOnly%3D1%26where%3Dauctions%26title%3DAmazing%2Bspiderman%2B667%26GO%3DGO%26ItemType%3DCB%23Item_1661732&id=1661732&itemType=0
  13. If Counterpoint cared at all about their customers, they'd actually bother trying to create new comics with actual stories.
  14. The human character in the new Avatar movie kinda reminded me of Kamandi.
  15. I set up templates to use for single books, 2 books, 3 books, etc. with an estimate of weight, because it would be extremely time-consuming to figure the weight of every listing. Sometimes it's not spot on. The weight listed on the package is the weight that the seller paid for, so there's no scam, as mentioned.
  16. whitn.mik Won an auction and never paid
  17. I wish you could set up your account to automatically block anyone who messages you and includes the word "bro"
  18. I may have lost out on that slab, but I just got these back in the mail. It would be nice if they were 9.8s, but I'm still happy with them. Oddly, although all in the same submission, no notation on one of them that it's a newsie.
  19. Show me a listing where their prices are reasonable.
  20. I decided to put this one up for sale on eBay.
  21. Volume of sales was up 750% because there were some announcements of people attached to the movie in development. Actual prices results weren't high for the most part, but that's probably because the volume was people grabbing the cheap BINs.
  22. The reason I was looking up sales results of Faith is because Key Collector listed it as a trending book, so the topic was on track. Don't like it? Then contribute something worthwhile.
