  1. Give Marvel long enough and they'll turn all our 90's drek into gold! And the '80s. Some of you guys must be sitting on boxes of New Universe books?
  2. He's reintroduced in FF The current Marvel 616 is ending. He's involved. How long does one have to be out of the picture before it's considering a "reintroduction." As I recall he was in a few issues of Ms Marvel a few years back. (Although maybe it's longer than it feels to me, since she's been Captain Marvel for a while now.)
  3. So what's actually going on with Sleepwalker (in the comics)?
  4. It's good to see Valiant get a little pop with The Valiant #1. Given that they're publishing some really good books, and that Valiant collectors tend to be completists, I could see some of the current books going for more than cover down the line, considering some of the print runs.
  5. I called CGC today regarding books submitted at NYCC. They're waiting for encapsulation. My first batch of books.
  6. Raw graded at 9.8 by the seller and fuzzy pictures. Nothing could go wrong there right? He has a raw Wolverine 50 listed as a 9.9, so he must have found something wrong with the AT 25. He must have graduated from the Divad school of grading I don't think anyone graduates from that school. They leave early and decide to go pro. Let's see, you've been here almost 6 months, you have 600 posts, and almost half of them have been about me. I would suggest you actually get a life of your own. Oooh, touchy. I think you severely overestimate your importance in my life.
  7. I've seen follow-ups that say the initial story was sharing old info.

  9. I'll admit that I don't see the appeal in collecting reprints. Buying them when they were released made sense since it was the only cheap way to get your hands on those books, but now there are other avenues.
  10. Ironic then, don't you think, that he's providing the perfect example of why there *should* be a gap in prices (i.e. you can't necessarily trust someone's raw grade, especially if that person is divad)
  11. Just to go a bit farther on this one, last sale of a 9.8 broke $100.00. This may be a slow burner that ends up being great in the long run. EDIT: I am speaking of the regular cover. The variants are all already over $100 per for a 9.8 I believe. $100 for a graded 9.8 when raws are selling for $50+ seems like a steal to me. I guess the market has decided this is the key modern for Ms.Marvel/Captain Marvel and not Avenging Spider-man 9? You're thinking of a different Ms Marvel.
  12. Considering that Quesada seems to really like Squirrel Girl, and that even if there was some higher-up that liked Superpro, Marvel would probably need the NFL's permission to do anything with him, I think it's safe to say that nothing significant will happen with any of the books, *unless* Marvel and the NFL announce some plans for a project without giving any details. Then speculators will be out in force.
  13. What if I only have the Lion's Gate reprint. Does that get me in?
  14. The Cliff's Notes version of the discussion of the first appearance of Big Hero Six from the thread dedicated to that group: The creative team of Alpha Flight had an idea for a bunch of new characters to appear in that book a few issues down the line. The higher-ups in editorial liked the idea and decided they wanted to do a mini-series with the characters. The creative team of Alpha Flight did not have time in their schedules to work on the mini-series, so the book was given to another creative team. The first few issues of Sunfire & Big Hero Six were published. Later, the issues of Alpha Flight (the issue with the cameo and the full appearance) were published that included those characters, on time, without delays, when those issues were intended to be released according to the publishing schedule, after Sunfire & Big Hero Six. Years pass during which no one cares about the characters and Disney buys Marvel. Disney announces the Big Hero Six movie. A thread starts here that includes a discussion of the first appearance. Divad sells an issue of Alpha Flight with a description that clearly designed to inflate the importance of the issue. Very, very well done sir! Short, sweet and to the point. Now, which one do I speculate on again The issue of Marvel Vision that has an advance promo.

  16. Bah, cameos! BWA-HA-HA-HA... -slym Those hacks will never amount to anything . . . I'm going to agree with you. None of those guys are in the Hall of Fame.
  17. To follow that up this is the tweet everyone should be paying attention to of his. https://twitter.com/AdrianAskarieh/status/546367368016834560 Stunt When I think of "linguini," I think of a thin floppy noodle.
  18. That's not what your listing said. You are purposefully deceiving people. I wonder if you've always been this way and I jus never noticed it. I used to think you were a boardie with integrity. Now I don't see any. Purposefully overgrazing and now outright lying. He did something similar with his Alpha Flight #17 sale. Described it as "First appearance of Big Hero Six" in big bold copy, and then formatted less prominently in the paragraph following it "by their creators," as if the first work by a creative team that's not an actual first appearance is something that collectors care about. Clearly intended to deceive people into thinking that it was the first appearance of Big Hero Six.
  19. Not yet, but… Eternal Warrior #4 or Rai #0? Which is the one to get now? http://movies.cosmicbooknews.com/content/leaked-sonys-release-dates-includes-sinister-six-and-new-spider-man Maybe I'm not high enough, but how can you speculate on Bloodshot when the same lists says Sony is making a Men in Black 21 Jump Street crossover. This sony hack feels more like people smoking crack than real news. You're not high enough.

  21. I'll agree with this, I've only ordered from them maybe 10 times or so. But every time it's been bullet proof packing and very strict grading. Well, I can't say that I had any problems with the packing. I'll give them that. But the lax customer service is a deal-breaker. I don't expect that any company makes no errors, but how they resolve those errors is key. Mycomicshop failed in that regard.
  22. I do not know why people here always seem to be down on MCS. They have decent prices, a huge inventory and they pack their items better than anyone. I can't speak of the experience of others, but the one time I bought stuff from mycomicshop on eBay, the books were more expensive than what seemed to be the going rate. But whatever, one can ask whatever they want, so I decided to spend a little more to get the books in the condition I wanted and fill some holes in my collection. When they were delivered, I found that a good number of them were not in the condition described (e.g. color-breaking creases and some significant scuffing on books described as NM). Despite their stated return policy claiming "Free Return Shipping," they didn't cover the actual cost of return shipping, and actually covered less than they charge themselves. When I inquired what method of shipping they expected I use that their shipping refund would cover, they never bothered to respond. So, • Overpriced • Overgraded • Poor Customer Service What's not to love?
