  1. The Youtuber joined the board. We were discussing some of his videos over here:
  2. dilha8317 Purchased a book, and didn't pay within the specified 3-day period. Then I sent an invoice. No payment or communication for another 3 days. Sent another invoice, and after another few days without payment or communication opened a non-paying case,
  3. I'm still trying to figure out what this has to do with Socialists.
  4. Much like the "Preview" of New Teen Titans in DC Presents, this is a complete short story, not excerpts from the upcoming comic.
  5. That depends. There was a short preview story for Lazarus in Diamonds Previews that wasn't in the comic. It was reprinted along with the first story arc in the first trade. If Lazarus ever takes off, that Previews issue should be worth a bit.
  6. Maybe, but previews are not first appearances.
  7. They cast the leads. I checked the census and there's a staggering 1400 copies in CGC 9.8. That seems like a lot for a very recent book.
  8. I think they just didn't bother printing 2 different versions of the interiors, which is why the numbers are still in the 30s in the indicia for all versions.
  9. Quasar was a Direct-only title, but the other titles in the crossover weren't. So in order for Newsstand readers to be able to get the complete story, the Quasar portion of the crossover were printed for the Newsstand, but those issues were numbered starting with 1, since the first 30 or so issues were not available on the Newsstand. To confuse things further, there are be Direct and Newsstand versions of the mini, so the same story was available to Direct readers with 2 different numbers.
  10. This series looks like it will be wild; will def be picking this up.
  11. I'm not sure if it's just a matter of what I've been paying attention to, or what's getting discussed to a greater degree, but there seems to be a shift recently away from rare variant and back onto the importance of the content of a book. (Not that first appearances were ever unimportant)
  12. I was just checking out the same thing. And for his first bunch of covers, he's sharing it with the other feature. I don't think he has the cover by himself until 146.
  13. The rules I saw said that books couldn't be marked up within the first 30 days, so it doesn't seem so. There doesn't seem to be any restriction on keeping books off of the shelves and then selling them at a premium later, although that doesn't seem to be in the spirit of the rules that they set up. It's kind of annoying that they've marked up the Not First prints. Since Bad Idea isn't doing any collections, the only way to read the books are to pick up the floppies, and the indication seemed to be that they'll continue to produce them indefifitely as long as there is demand. But I guess a store wouldn't bother ordering any new copies if they still have unsold, marked up copies.
  14. I sent 3 copies off to CGC and got them back somewhat recently. Thought at least 1 would hit 9.8, but they're all 9.6. Figured I'd regret if I don't list at least one at the moment, unless this craziness doesn't last.
  15. The fact that they have the Not 1st for 4.99 is a move.
  16. When Cap 25 came out, I was going to pick it up purely for spec, but then I thought "No, this is clearly going to have tons of people speculating, and isn't going to be worth anything"
  17. I picked up 2 copies in a lot that included Amazing 293-340 and some of the annuals this weekend. Neither is going to be a 9.8, but I think it will have been well worth the 1900 investment.
  18. Marvel Comics Presents 72. https://www.ebay.com/itm/393256309425?hash=item5b8fe712b1%3Ag%3A5EYAAOSwaXRggMDG&nma=true&si=sYFZpAP8jgg2HhKdrZ3u8RpT1os%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 https://www.ebay.com/itm/144012610389?hash=item2187d20b55%3Ag%3APNwAAOSwDuVgfAbK&nma=true&si=sYFZpAP8jgg2HhKdrZ3u8RpT1os%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  19. The thing that sucks about auctions like this is that a bunch of people got really good deals on lots when I wasn't bidding against them (I knew someone on site who was biffing for me, so we were sticking to certain lots at pre-arranged prices since it's not easy to communicate during the auction), but then the ones I was bidding on those people were also bidding on so the lots I did win I ended up getting just below or exactly at my max bid. Someone got a lot of X-Factor 1-83 for $20 (including the Apocalypse and Archangel issues). A lot of X-Men 1-5 (including all of the covers for 1) went for $10. There are a few other lots that were basically steals but I didn't have time to value everything before the auction.
  20. Yes, especially on the inside of the book, I doubt that CGC is going to deduct for that. It doesn't affect eye appeal. Maybe you won't get a 9.9 or 10, but chances are you weren't going to anyway
