  1. This could be a way to introduce Matt Murdoch to the MCU (assuming they don't try to incorporate the Netflix shows into continuity, which I really think they should). If they did, there are a few issues of Soule's run that could get hot, as he had them face off in the courtroom.
  2. I imagine the movement is because one of the Youtubers that has been discussed in some threads on these boards called out that book as one of his purchases, not as it being a key book (which it's not, unless you consider Jim Lee's last issue on X-Men a key), but rather because of the cover. He noted that that was the X-Men team lots of his people his age recognize as the team they knew. (I'm assuming it's very close to the team in the cartoon, but I never watched the cartoon).
  3. Well, CGC spent good money on a box of plastic shards and they have to do *something* with them.
  4. Yes, I'm sure that's all they have to do, and Disney will roll over. It's not like they have an army of lawyers that vigorously protect all of their IPs.
  5. I pre-ordered it but don't have it yet. I thought the premise was interesting.
  6. When Tankers 1 came out there was one guy on line waiting to check out trying to convince other customers who weren't picking up Bad Idea books to buy it for him. Annoying
  7. In professional wrestling terms, when you're "over" you've exceeded a certain threshold of popularity.
  8. I think it's pretty obvious they're not done with comics
  9. At the very least, read the first 12-15 issues of the series before watching the show. There's a reveal about that far in that IMO they got to too quickly in the show.
  10. I was blown away by this spread in the first issue of Ninja-K:
  11. Giorello did a couple amazing arcs at Valiant: check out his work on X-O Manowar (2017 series) and Ninja-K.
  12. They announced one for Whalesville. Considering that they hinted at the annoucement of Wave 2 when they said Eniac 4 was going to be delayed, and the "as we know it" caveat in the announcement, and the notion that Eniac #1 was a lot more successful than they were anticipating based on the initial order numbers, and that they sent some financial support to their retail partners early in the pandemic, I'm with everyone that thinks this announcement isn't them folding, but rather a metamorphosis into something better.
  13. I think "as we know it" is doing a lot of the heavy lifting in this release.
  14. Not set on how I would rank the next few after ASM 361, but for now: 1. ASM 361 (first print) 2. ASM 361 (second print) 3. ASM 344 (first Cletus Kasady) 4. ASM 360 (Carnage cameo – face revealed; claims he picked his first victim, but he killed a prison guard prior to his escape in the previous issue, pulling him through the prison bars) 5. ASM 359 (Carnage symbiote teased) 6. ASM 345 (Kasady touched by Venom symbiote remnant) then I'd follow these with some combo of ASM 362-363, Maximum Carnage 1, and Mind Bomb. AMS 360: ASM 359: ASM 345:
  15. If you're going to use that logic, why not just find the earliest Marvel comic to depict the Big Bang? That would be a cameo appearance of every character first published subsequent to that issue.
  16. Considering Innovation published the Vampire Lestat series before Interview with the Vampire, that seems like a good one to look out for.
  17. All of the copies I have seen have had an insert. I actually have two copies that have 2 inserts.
  18. I have a bunch of old issues of Comic Shop News and was going to start listing them on eBay, but they're too big to fit inside the Gemini mailers for comics. Any suggestions for the most cost- and time- effective way to send these (I'd really prefer not to have to spend the time cutting cardboard protectors every time someone buys one)? They'll fit in a Priority Mail Flat Rate Legal Envelope, but I figure there's got to be a better way to keep it as a First Class package as well.
  19. eBay wouldn't exactly be increasing their take though, would they? I imagine that under the new system, they end up paying paypal fees for being the recipient of a payment.
  20. This one is from a few years ago. Multiple issues with this submission. I submitted 5 copies of this book, but this was the only one calling out the wrong version… sort of. Three of the five were actually the "secret variant" that had a coded message inside the cover (but the other four were all labeled as the regular version). Since that code is only *inside* the book, I had to send all five back, so they could pop them open and determine which ones were the secret variant. And I noticed just now that all five were apparently signed by the co-founded of Microsoft, rather than the book's artist.
  21. Eddie Brock would be a retcon, since Michelinie originally intended for Venom to be female.
