  1. As FormerReader said, he was forced out. There were investors that had a controlling interest and, as far as I can tell, they didn't like that Dinesh was more interested in making good comics than… whatever it is that they were interested in doing. Bad Idea is starting small; I don't know the details, but I doubt there is another outsider investor that has a controlling interest this time around.
  2. Also, I doubt "Hollywood" is making decisions based on whether a comic sells out and goes for a premium on the after-market. Even top-selling comics are a small portion of the potential audience for television and movie production. It's all about whether there's something in the content that is unique and/or would be appealing to viewers, and is adaptable.
  3. You can't limit what a customer does with the product after they purchase. But retailers have to agree to rules to carry the product, and at least one that did and then publicly flouted breaking that agreement was removed from the retailer list.
  4. Your "fix" makes no sense. Why would a reader pre-order multiple copies?
  5. If they were interested in appealing to speculators, they would have allowed people to pre-order as many as they wanted, which still would have allowed for plenty to be on the shelf for casual fans. Clearly they're not and aren't going to change their business practices to appeal to speculators.
  6. Crazy. Raw copies well over $100. 354 is hot too. Now I just need U.S. Agent #1 to get hot so it's worth it to slab my copy
  7. I do. But I'm waiting to get a "Not a first print" to read, so I can keep the first print in the same condition as it was when I got it. (And also I haven't even had time to read it since I got it.) The creative team involved never disappointed me at Valiant so I'm sure I won't be disappointed.
  8. This (not my listing): https://www.ebay.com/itm/1993-The-Creators-Universe-Dynamic-Trading-Card-Set-of-100-Cards-TC-1521-/371754359833
  9. Yes, that might be it. I think there were a bunch of the Bravura characters in there, amongst many other indies
  10. Or, just don't buy them back. Unless you really want them
  11. Even one of the "not first print"s sold for stupid money. Which is particularly stupid, because they're not going to differentiate between later printings, and that's the only way they're going to be reprinting it, so those should be available indefinitely.
  12. He did a Jock Detective homage variant cover for Bloodshot 9.
  13. This is probably the laziest depiction of a fight scene ever, except perhaps Snowbird vs. Kolomaq in Alpha Flight 6.
  14. Even some of the British reprints (the Action Force magazine) have some good results.
  15. If "rookie cards" for comics is going to be an actual thing, might be a good time to hunt down that "Collector's Universe" card set from the '90s. I don't know that there were many (or any) hugely popular characters depicted, but in many cases the cards appeared before the comics that featured the characters. Only need one of them to take off.
  16. You could probably get a good number of 1st appearances of Milestone characters for $1000. Static is already hot; I think the others will follow.
  17. I'm guessing that there will be little to no connection between these two shows
  18. Maybe covid affected the production of Falcon & the Winter Soldier more?
  19. Interesting that this was supposed to be just before Loki. I thought that Dottie might be the Enchantress (although the color of her energy is green).
  20. In a way, this may not have been the best show to start with, because a lot of people are going to be expecting to have a lot to chew on with future MCU shows.
  21. If it's *not* Agatha, then since Agatha is also there, I imagine that there were other magic-users that received mysterious deeds as well.
  22. The whole idea of the "Agatha All Along" theme is puzzling, as the reveal came when Wanda and Agatha were outside of Wanda's sphere of influence. That suggests that either the whole broadcast thing is someone else's doing, or, if it is Wanda's subconscious, that the whole evil wink to the camera is in Wanda's mind. Since Agatha isn't evil in the comics, I'm assuming we still don't have the full story on her. I think whatever dark magic she was messing with in Salem has taken control of her, but perhaps still allows her some autonomy occasionally. She may see Wanda as a way to break that influence, and is trying to get her to realize what/who she is, for her own (self-interested, perhaps, but not selfish) ends.
