  1. So you're saying that I shouldn't have included that copy of 87 as a freebie in a lot of West Coast Avengers I sold last week? (It was beat to hell and missing a piece from the back cover; probably still worthless)
  2. If you find a negative UPC, that would be one to grab for sure.
  3. True. I wasn't suggesting hunting down the rarer variants (except maybe in the case of the Bloodshot 10 exclusive). Mostly they're not easy to find, and if you do find them, they're probably going to be from a collector that knows their worth. I was referring more to the first appearances. If, in the future, one of the characters introduced since 2012 is on-par popularity-wise as the characters introduced in the '90s, the relative rarity of the newer books will probably help their value and percentage gain more. And the order-alls can a lot of times be found cheaply, since I imagine a lot of times those copies were ordered only because a retailer had to get them to qualify for incentives someone pre-ordered.
  4. Someone linked to a n uncut sheet. If that sheet was typical of the proportionate run of all the cards, the X-Force team card was a little more common., with the other 4 produced in equal amounts.
  5. Harbinger 1 has been pricey for a while. I think if Valiant hangs on (or can't afford to as-is and ends up selling to a production company looking for IP to adapt for the screen), the good buys could be in the books from 2012 until now, especially the last couple of years when numbers have been *really* low and not hyped much now that Dinesh and co. are gone. In particular, the latest issue of Bloodshot (#10) introduces into the comics two of the characters that were created for the movie. So if they continue to make movies, that issue could be hot. And one of the characters has a 1st cover appearance on a sweet retailer exclusive: https://exchangecollectibles.com/products/bloodshot-10-mayhew-3-book-set There are a few clear winners in the books from 2012-; Shadowman #5 & #13 (1st new Doctor Mirage & Punk Mambo, respectively); Harbinger #3 (1st new Livewire); Divinity #1; Savage #1; Ninjak #1 & #4 (1st Roku and origin; the origin issue has a sweet A cover); and there are plenty of others
  6. People really only seem to care about the card. But also, I don't think it's been established that one of the Cap boxes is all that more common that the other. And of course, once you open the bag, it doesn't matter which version was matched up with which card initially
  7. I imagine there are 2 reasons: 1. Less copies of the C version (although all covers were printed in insane amounts). More importantly: 2. The covers were released one per week, with the gatefold version last, the week before #2 was released. So even if it's the same pinup, the C cover shipped first, so arguably would be the true first depiction.
  8. It's not, but it can have value. The New Mutants Annual with the potential future team pinup that depicts Shatterstar before he's in a story has some value. The pinup of Harley Quinn in a first in-continuity book has some value. Covers are essentially pinups and we know what Ms Marvel on Captain Marvel 17 2nd print did to the value of that.
  9. I remember seeing that clip and reaction was "Yeah, no." Considering the character was created (or perhaps, revamped, since it's more evident once he appears in JLI, LEGION, and his minis) as a parody of the dark, grim and gritty characters of the Copper Age, what the role needs is someone who will play it completely straight, but with over-the-top material.
  10. Rob Zombie has done some acting work. Anyone know if he's any good?
  11. I probably pulled my full set of both minis from dollar boxes. But that would have been in the late 80s or 90s. So while the combined $60 I got for both is less than they're worth now, I still pulled a profit. Probably still got more for the recent issues of the Tom King Vision series I picked up when that started getting hot.
  12. I sold far too early. Got $40 back in October. But then #12 was maybe only a 7.0.
  13. And the same applies here that applies to Evans; not in the same connected universe.
  14. I realize that but there were 2 different studios producing those movies. I can't see them casting the same actor for 2 different title rolls in the same shared universe (assuming, of course, that a Lobo movie would be in the DCCU, and if it's not, that would suck).
  15. Yeah, Momoa would have been perfect for Lobo. Not going to happen with him playing Aquaman though.
