Thanks for making a comment that a zero relevance to this thread. Dont know why you cant buy it at anytime. The book is available on Bulletproof Comics website.

Sorry I had a cat 5 hurricane coming towards my home state and my family and home were a tad more important then the actual release date of the book..... but I see your post really livened up this thread. nuts. 🙄

I live in Plantation. Everything I said is correct. I help run the show. Although not anymore since it was sold to ReedPop. I am still affiliated with GalaxyCon (our new name after the sale of Supercon to ReedPop). Our shows are now in Louisville, Richmond, Raleigh and Minneapolis. Zero affiliation with Florida Supercon now (including the show last month).

Except the whole part about the broward convention center not being able to handle a show the size of super-con. if you ran it the prior year, you should  know it was capable of working and it did work. from what others told me was they moved it back to miami because they had gotten the deal they wanted with Miami beach convention center.

they really do need to step up the show. it is lackluster compared to say Megacon in orlando or similar shows.

    I can't see that happening.

I think the convention center in Broward County is limited access for the next few years (construction).

Plus, the only reason Florida Supercon was in Fort Lauderdale in the recent past was because the Miami Beach Convention Center was under construction.

There is no venue in Broward County large enough for the size Supercon has grown to, unfortunately (even without construction issues).

It's in Miami to stay (which is where it always wanted to be).

you're incorrect. it was in broward county the past year and it was completely fine.  everything they would normally have at any of their previous cons in dade county was there at the broward convention center. i also heard they went to broward due to some financial dispute and the owners of the miami beach convention center didn't want to work with them. supercon is what it is. it's a decent show with usually the same artists and writers appearing every year with a mix of a few others.the celebs are usually decent. i would have attended this past july show but don't like dealing with the facilitators instead of actual CGC themselves. i also know quite a few collectors that feel the same way. i take it your a miami dade resident ? lol us broward folks can't stand the the drive going down there.

  4. they had a facilitator taking books for CGC, i know it doesn't appeal to everyone including myself. without CGC present at the con, i didn't feel it was worthwhile dealing with the Miami traffic and what not. hopefully they step up their game next year and i would definletely like to see it back in broward county.  Miami = PITA driveing, parking, etc

  5. You have nothing but talkers on facebook. they all want what you have and some go as far as trying to lowball the hell out of you, some even ask to "hold it til they get paid" and the person never contacts you again. waste of time in my opinion.  there isn't any safety for the seller really either. someone scams you that's it. your out of gas......  common sense would tell one to ship only when your receive payment first, however we all know how facebook transactions CAN go down.

  6. when i sell raw comics and slabs, i do it with the intention of just getting rid of books i no longer want in my collection and or think that it will make me some good pocket cash to buy my next fancy book or collectible. being a sheep and buying in bulk whatever CBSI,comicsheatingup or what johnny angelhair claims is the new "it" book might get one stuck with alot of worthless down the line. so DON"T DO IT ! lol take this hobby with a grain of salt and think before you do something drastic.

I have a Maxx 1/2 with no foil printing on it. I sent itout to cgc to get graded. I just got it back today and saw they labeled it a universal grade. I thought it would be a qualified grade do to the fact there is no foil printing on the cover. So I went to the census to check it out turns out they put it in its own category labeling it wizard presents the Maxx. Instead of putting it with the other variants of this cover. I was wondering if anyone could tell me why they would do this and get any thoughts on if this will effect thevalue of the book good or bad. Thanks

i would THINK that they didn't notice it perhaps? you could always call and let them know. i submitted a signed book to them a few years back with it COA, i figured it was going to get a green label, which means qualified. they ended up sending it back to me with a universal label. let's be honest they can and do mistakes  it happens.

Standard is actually a higher service level and they aren’t modern books

ok and ? Did you specify that in your initial post about submitting during Mega-con ? NO, you didn't. So how would i know that?

anyways blue labels are now graded as of today. No movement with my signature series books though.

How does someone that submitted on Saturday have books received since 5/30 and I submitted Thursday within 30 mins of show opening, standard and haven’t had them received yet? They don’t do FIFO?

i assume you didn't pay the extra few bucks for fast track? lol there's your answer there....

anyone that submitted at megacon have books received yet? Its OVER 2 weeks now, going on 3 in a few days. This is ridiculous!

books were submitted saturday May 18th at megacon. they received them 5/30/19, i paid for fast track modern. and they have been scheduled to grade for a few days now.... i know they get swamped during the bigger cons like this, and we know san diego is right around the corner.

  11. all of us feel we can give an accurate grade to a raw book based on our years of collecting and of course experience with submitting to CGC and seeing the results, However none of our considered "professional graders". as for your customers just being happy and accepting your guesstimate, im sure some people don't give a rat's and judge for themselves based on the pictures you provided. i myself NEVER go by what somone guesses, i trust my own eye.  if you choose not to deal with any grading companies then that's your own prerogative.

very nice ! trying to piece these together is a mission and a half. i've only been able to find a blue # 1 and a red #1 so far. the rest don't come up as much, and when they do they tend to be when im tight with cash that week or something lol

Anybody think is it worth grading both the gold and platinum mini comics that came from wizard? i kind of want to but not sure if it's worth the moolah.

I think it's just because there are so many copies of the first printing that it's not hard to obtain, so why buy a 2nd print? That said I actually really like the look of the silver and will probably pick up a 2nd printing copy soon.

My 361 is on its way back from CGC now. I've had it since I was a kid and I'm too scared to look at the grade in advance. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a 9.8 when I open the box.

These books were very fragile for some reason. i have a near mint copy i also had as a child, but for some reason the cover was damn near coming off.  Asm #361 is definetly a book to own before they start becoming the next ASM # 300.

The opportunity to move it to April came up, and management took it. Overall feedback from many is that they'd prefer MegaCom Orlando take place earlier in the year, makes for a better vacation from a colder location.

just another bit of feedback you can let them know. alot of people weren't too happy with being charged $15.00 shipping for our passes mailed to our front door. especially when they opted for a $4-$5 shipping method in a standard brown envelope. so basically they took $10 bucks away from us and promised a prompted shipping. kind of BS really. once again just some feedback to let the bigwigs know, what WE all noticed happened there.
