  1. Considering the seller dismissed the buyer’s dissatisfaction with “it’s only a comic” that does seem to be the most appropriate solution. But certainly the easiest remedy. No need to jump through hoops on this one.
  2. The thing is there doesn't have to be any kind of crazy solution to this. Seller just needs to go through with the sale.
  3. I think there is thread in the general section called "all I do is win" or something like that.
  4. I know the PL is not like HOS with a vote. Who makes the ultimate call if it is PL worthy?
  5. I always assumed not completing a transaction because of change of heart would always qualify for the probation list as a way to warn other members that the deal you thought you had might not actually be completed.
  6. So it appears at least twice the buyer offered to either send another check with tracking or use an alternate form of payment which the seller declined. The seller even commented on how slow the mail is these days. I don't think anyone really thinks this is about a late payment.
  7. Did the buyer offer to send another check or another form of payment when it didn't show up timely? If the answer to that is yes everything you said about the timing of the check is completely irrelevant.
  8. For those getting hung up on the check, that is listed as the preferred method of payment. And knowing how slow the mail is these days that has to be taken into consideration.
  9. Are you saying someone might put in their sales thread the right to change their mind after someone claims a book and that would be OK? That would be troubling.
  10. The seller also made it perfectly clear the reason for cancelling was not the lateness of the check, but he changed his mind. That is not acceptable for the boards. Does he have a "right" to not sell the book? Sure. Just like a buyer has the right to not pay for a book he claimed. That doesn't mean you don't face repercussions for exercising those rights.
  11. I think this is absolutely PL worthy. No one gets a free pass because they have a good reputation. As far as the whole check thing, the buyer made offers to rectify the check not getting there and the seller refused. You can't possibly hold that against the buyer.
  12. Thanks for the clarification. I don't know anything about this world, but found it interesting to watch.
  13. I assume the guys selling the box knew it was going to be opened in front of them. If they were trying to scam them it was not a very good effort.
  14. Seems pretty cut and dry. You want to sell on the boards you follow board rules. And deciding you don't want to sell after someone takes it is not OK in any fashion. Why on earth would anyone trust you again once you pull some BS like that?
  15. @Rich_Henn I think at one point you mentioned you had some Carrie Henn books. Did you ever post those?
  16. And that's why I won't by anything that's more than a few bucks on ebay. Its such a gamble.
  17. Update from Vanguard about the second printing of the new art book. UPDATE: The new printing of Fantastic Paintings of Frazetta, originally expected Halloween/early-Nov is now running about a month later, EARLY DECEMBER, 2020. That is when Vanguard expects to receive them. It will take us a week or two to get them out.
  18. BS. He never loses. I really hate sellers that use shipping to make money. Doesn't mean you shouldn't have noticed, but I still hate it.
