  1. This is correct from everything I have read. You can use the money for things like rent and utilities, but the calculation for what you receive is based on payroll and that is the reason they give you an extra 25%. First, it’s worth reviewing the (newly confirmed) nuts and bolts of the program: If you are a company, nonprofit, veterans organization, or tribal concern with 500 or fewer employees — or else, a self-employed individual or independent contractor — the government will provide you with a loan equivalent to eight weeks of your prior average payroll (or, for the self-employed, earnings), plus an additional 25 percent of that sum (unless that grand total adds up to more than $10 million, which is the cap for any individual firm). You do not need to make any payments on that loan for six months. And if you maintain your workforce, then the government will entirely forgive the portion of the loan spent on payroll, benefits, utilities, rent, mortgage payments, or other debts.
  2. There are almost always more important things going on than buying comic books. If someone is selling and somene is buying then we need to deal with these situations.
  3. You could have asked for another form of payment as mentioned. A certified check or something like that. It would have removed the risk of paypal protection. And of course you should have never just cancelled without first discussing that with the buyer. I'm curious if you think you should have done anything different at all during this transaction.
  4. This is not ebay or facebook. Part of the priviledge of selling on the boards is that you follow through with your transactions. The expectation is you are going to make every effort to do so and act in a certain way. If you don't like the expectations then sell somewhere else.
  5. So now its leary of selling to someone with no posts. Its like you have a magic eight ball for excuses and just see what pops up. If you don't want to sell to people with no posts it should be in the rules of your sales thread.
  6. This should be unacceptable. Plenty of terrible excuses why the sale was pulled, but nothing valid.
  7. He has been tagged a few times. I know comics might not be the top of everyone's list these days, but I would think a certain time limit on responding would be appropriate.
  8. And don't forget some of us lowly mid grade guys.
  9. Not ebay, but Etsy. Hard to tell condition of the books, but at about $5 a pop how bad can it be. https://www.etsy.com/listing/748058343/vintage-creepy-magazine-collection-1?ga_order=price_desc&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=frazetta&ref=sr_gallery-1-44&organic_search_click=1&cns=1
  10. i'm pretty sure it was Eerie 50. Here are some notes on that issue: Months before Marvel unveiled their Satana, Daughter Of Satan serial in their black & white magazines, Warren issued this one-shot that could almost be regarded a prologue for the Marvel character, so similar were the origins. http://enjolrasworld.com/Richard Arndt/The Warren Magazines Index Only.htm
  11. I know Eerie 23 is hard to find, but is this reasonable? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Eerie-23-VF-7-5-1969-/313041581173?&_trksid=p2056016.l4276
  12. I have two LCS that I frequent. The one is somewhat new and prior to opening only sold online. So for him it was easy to transition back into that model. I talked to him today and he said that even after this he may move to appointment only hours and go back to selling mostly on line and at cons. The other shop which has been around for about 40 years does nothign online. They don't even have a website - Just a facebook page with basic information and to announce sales. I talked to the owner today as well. He is trying as hard as he can to figure out the online stuff. He didn't seem worried about the impact this was having. Maybe he just has money from something else. I bought a nice size gift certificate from both. I hope it helps them.
  13. For those that don't know, this is based on Frazetta's Egyptian Queen.
  14. Just got this from Ebay. Unfortunatelly there is some damage. Trying to work something out with the seller. I can try and fix it myself.
  15. For the love of god if you run out of toilet paper do not use these as a replacement.
  16. No. I'm pretty sure that is a hamburger press.
  17. I can't actually be reading this. Someone thinks the term "novel virus" is referencing a novel as in a book? I refuse to believe anyone actually thinks that.
