    I used to have going to SDCC on my bucket list. Not anymore. I've read enough negativity about it. At this point I couldn't even imagine spending all that money before I walked in the door that I could spend on actual comics.

    If you look on Etsy I think there are a few sellers who will make custom short boxes.

    And of course everything couldn't go smoothly. The electrical inspector has now decided there isn't enough room around the electrical panel. The same inspector who has been there twice and approved everything already. I don't know if this guy is looking for money, is completely incompetent or is just an angry person looking to mess with people. The conversation with his boss would have been comical if it wasn't happening to me. It was like talking with a 4 year old. I can see my tax dollars are really being used well.

    Yes. Lots of insulation. We also installed a heating/cooling unit (You can see it on one of the pictures). With the big opening to the rest of the house I don't think we will even need it in the winter. We have had some pretty cold days and it's been fine out there. I'm more worried about really hot days.

    I wanted it to look like a garage from the outside. And yes we did remove all of the pieces related to the automatic opener.
