  1. HT seem to work good as a filler. When you get that itch but don't want to shell out $400+ for a statue.
  2. Someone just posted some flaming carrots for sale on the forum. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=9666442&gonew=1#UNREAD
  3. I'm starting to look more and more at Hot Toys. The prices are just bonkers for statues now. My buddy has a few. I suggest finding a place you can inspect them up close.
  4. Did you ever find a seller that is so overpriced with his books that it actually makes you mad? I never did until today. And I know its completely illogical to feel this way.
  5. I'm finally starting to plan my comic/statue room. I cleaned out my office after a few years of saying I would and I have a blank slate to work with. I'm very lucky to have a father in law that is a carpenter and builds shelves and cabinets for a living. I want to thank everyone for posting pictures. I fully intend on stealing ideas.
  6. Ebay is a pretty good guide. I'm not sure where else you would find that type of information for large amounts of statues.
  7. I met him a few times at local cons. Gave me some good deals on some magazines. definitely seems different in person than on the boards.
  8. Went to a con today. Exactly one dealer had magazines. But I managed to fill a few holes in my Frazetta covers.
  9. I would have happily paid those prices. Someone got a great deal. Those are unbelievably weak prices. I don't know what it is going to take for people to understand that the SS market is unique. If you choose venues like C-Link or Heritage you are virtually guaranteed to miss a big chunk of the market. I need to pay attention more. I don't do the big auctions so I didn't even know they were listed.
  10. I would have happily paid those prices. Someone got a great deal.
  11. Do you have a link? I have no clue how to look something up on Heritage.
  12. If those were both signed by Frazetta that is a great price.
  13. That just carpy selling. To not follow up and just sell the books to someone else is BS. Especially when it turns out the seller never even sent the first PM. To me it isn't just that an initial mistake was made. The actions after that are terrible.
  14. It's from ARH. Sold out, but you can find them on ebay. They did several Frazetta statues. http://www.ebay.com/itm/ARH-Death-Dealer-1-EX-Frank-Frazetta-Death-Dealer-Quarter-Scale-Statue-/332023052232?hash=item4d4e1db7c8:g:vtEAAOSw5cNYHQez
  15. I know. Not a magazine. But I couldn't resist posting this Frazetta beast.
