  1. I had no idea you could buy back issues directly from Heavy Metal. Both on Ebay and their own site. Never thought about it before. http://www.ebay.com/sch/heavymetalmag/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from= http://www.heavymetal.com/ Just picked up some nice back issues at very good prices.
  2. The best offer one sold for $125.
  3. I have looked several times in my local Barnes and Nobles to see if they were carrying this. Until last night I never saw it. Probably because they have it in the "Entertainment" section of magazines and not the comic section. It's like no one bothered to actually open it up and look inside.
  4. Not in good shape, but the price was right. Need to start putting together next year's raffle prize.
  5. I put an offer in, but man that sig is not a good one. Fazatta But it is 1 of 1 highest registry copy of the SS. edit: cancelled my offer. Yeah, not a great sig.

  7. Thanks, just found that thread. Shame the search function doesn't go back more than a year. Nice to see the sources of some of these books that seem to have come around again. I wonder if the Creepy 27 9.6 I bought was the same that sold on ebay for pretty much the exact same price I won it for. You can go back two years I think. You should have to do one year at a time.
  8. Here is a thread I started in the SS forum. Some good information in there. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=8208084&fpart=1
  9. I don't remember seeing it on ebay.
  10. Set rules. Books must be picked up at least "fill in whatever the LCS wants". If that doesn't happen, you are off the pull list. LCS will have zero repeat offenders.
  11. Picked a few things up today at my LCS.
  12. Is this the same one that is currently for sale on Amazon for $5,995? That one has been up on Amazon for a really long time. I've seen it on Craigslist before as well.
  13. Yup, but they were private sales, so no GPA. One sold on ebay. Can't find the listing now, but look on page 11 of this thread. There was a best offer accepted and I looked it up at the time.
  14. Just looked back through earlier posts. nycomix vampi 5 9.4 sold for $4,000. I can't imagine the GPA on the unsigned booked is much more than a few hundred bucks.
  15. I can't find the information anymore on Ebay, but I thought nycomix sold a few for 3 - 4K. That put the sig at a lot more than $1,500. So I guess you could say that $1,500 might be a decent average, but that doesn't really help anyone looking at a specific book.
  16. Alex H sold one on the boards for less than $750 not too long ago. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Board=79&Number=9698838&Searchpage=1&Main=419113&Words=frazetta&topic=0&Search=true#Post9698838
  17. Personally, I think the underlying book is basically still the same value as unsigned. The Frazetta signature itself adds a minimum of $1,500(?) as some have suggested. Then, the "specific combo" of book and signatures which are most desirable to a particular collector, for whatever reason (is it a key? is the signature placement awesome? etc.), adds any additional premium above a simple calculation of GPA + $1,500. Over time, I assume the "flat estimate" of $1,500 for the signature will continue to increase. I don't think the $1,500 thing really works.

  19. Got my mystery boxes from CAHokie. He gave me lots of choices on different categories to choose from. Great group of items. Four signed art prints. Loving that Wonder Woman. A sweet Spiderman slab and some other nice books. Very cool old Superman book and record.
