  1. ..... grab a soft serve DQ Cone and read a Ditko Spidey..... that usually helps. GOD BLESS..... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) (thumbs u Then he will get a brain freeze. You are not helping.

  3. Most likely when a mod takes the time to carpet bomb a thread out of existence they don't appreciate screen shots showing the exact same content. Perhaps posting poofed posts perturbs people.
  4. It's sold out. You can try your luck with Ebay or a local comic shop, or you can jump on the waitist on Sideshow's site: https://www.sideshowtoy.com/collectibles/dc-comics-batgirl-sideshow-collectibles-300242/ What's the deal with the waitlist? Is that in case they get returns and suddenly have a few available? Some people cancel their orders.
  5. It would have been pretty funny if it was the same guy that pulled his PIF offering and blamed his wife.
  6. I'm going to try this method of price negotiation out tomorrow. I'll take a new Blu Ray and one from the $5 dollar bin at Best Buy and demand I only have to pay $5 for both. Wish me luck.
  7. That has to be one of the worst excuses for backing out of a purchase. He would have been better off just saying he changed his mind. Really that is just being greedy and obnoxious. He wants his first choice of books and any discounts applied later. No doubt. That's a new one on me. I don't think I've seen that before. I've seen all manner of self-entitled, navel-gazing, "my mommy says I'm special so the rules don't apply to me" type of behavior on this board, but this one is new. And I've had a seller offer me books, responding to a WTB post I made, that were priced 40% higher than his prices in a sales thread he had currently running at the time. He did manage to blame it on his wife. So he had that going for him.

  9. ARH studios has some good videos on the making of their statues. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=arh+studios+slaying+the+beast
  10. One thing the new tech is not doing is making them cheaper. They seem to get more expensive every year.
  11. Some go up, some go down and some stay the same. It's like any other collectible.
  12. The buyer always has paypal to fall back on.
  13. Theres another can of worms, "no returns" I guess if you get a damaged slab or shaken damaged book like the ones Wally posted...you're skrewed? I don't think it can save someone from the probation list if the buyer receives something that is different from what they purchased. Have return policies in the past ever "saved" anyone from getting put on the list?
  14. You can state your return policy is "no returns". You also can say you aren't paying return shipping which could discourage "I changed my mind" returns.
  15. Amazon returns are a pain in the arse from my experiences. Its why I wont buy on their unless I am desperate. As bad as ebay is Amazon sellers for comics are on average worse in packing, grading and selling. Ive tried them periodically for years same issues. I never bought a comic there before. But I have returned run of the mill type items with no problem.
  16. They changed it back. You can now right click and get the embed code again.
  17. Amazon takes returns quite easily. And with paypal you can always force (or try to) a return. I just can't imagine an ebay like site competing with ebay/amazon/etc. if they made it difficult to make returns. What incentive would there be for buyers? Keep in mind we are generally talking about used products. You buy a new toaster there isn't much chance you get it and it wasn't what you were expecting. Comics, not so much.
  18. You think sellers only taking returns when they want to when the buyer doesn't physically inspect the item they are buying before hand wouldn't turn off buyers? Good luck with that. And how would buyers pay for these items?
  19. Two new editions to the collection.
  20. I'm sure buyers would flock to a site like that. Wait.... nevermind.
  21. CGC doesn't put you on the list, board members do. CGC has made it very clear the PL/HOS list is up to us, not CGC, handle. Exactly. It doesn't even prevent anyone from doing business on the boards. Just a warning to others.
  22. Never going to happen. That's why I support the implementation of very simple requirements to post a sales thread. Some combination of join date/post count. Along the lines of 2 months and 50 posts. This idea always made sense to me. Heck, there is a post requirement to partake in the PIF thread.
