  1. If he accepts paypal it automatically converts the currency. So in paypal you pick the currency you want to send? Never thought about it before. He also doesn't list what form of payment he is accepting.
  2. Can you sell here in a non us currency? http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=8650249&gonew=1#UNREAD
  3. I realize you are trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, but the buyer said he was sending a paypal payment right away. Why would he say that if he was actually waiting for the check to be cashed? Not that I think the check ever existed.
  4. So he misplaced his paypal payment a few times.
  5. It takes 2 minutes to paypal some money. If someone is well enough to answer their phone they can send a payment. Of course a medical emergency also doesn't make you lie about a check.
  6. I generally look at ebay sales. There are also statue forums.
  7. Just got off the phone with LCS. He confirmed first printing of issue #1. He said printing #2 was not available yet for him to order. It certainly seems odd. I'll feel better when I see them.
  8. Thanks guys. I will double check with him tomorrow. I'm assuming the second print won't be selling like the first? Does that sound right?
  9. maybe he's just assuming he can order them...make sure he orders the right one and don't believe it until you have them in hand. He went and checked. He said he punched in 100 on his order and said it would go through if he wanted it. At this point what could be the wrong one? One of the variants?
  10. So I was at my LCS today and talking about how Mad Max was selling high on Ebay. He asked me if I wanted him to order me some more copies. He said he could get me as many as I wanted. Am I missing something here? Why are people paying so much when I can get them at cover price through a dealer?
  11. Sucky situation for the buyer. But it does seem like there were warning signs they ignored.
  12. Three. That would be the max number of clicks where this site performs like you would expect any website to.
  13. Anyone know if Sigourney Weaver is doing any signings? Didn't see her on the list.
  14. Some better pictures of Death Dealer III
  15. This is the first look at the finished Death Dealer III from ARH. Sure would be nice to get that to go along with the original Death Dealer I have on pre order with them. Hopefully it is under $500, but I doubt it.
  16. This book sold out insanely fast. I think I just bought the last two copies in Austin... every store was out of these as of Saturday. I wonder what the print run on this was? The movie was fantastic - looking forward to reading this issue. --edit-- Read it... very cool back story! I managed to grab three at cover price. The variants don't seem to be going up in value at all. I wonder if they are worth trying to pick up.
  17. I would definitely make sure ebay sees this. Not sure anything will come of it, but it can't hurt.
  18. Went to a bunch of flea markets yesterday. Very happy with what I found. Got these for about $3 each. All in pretty good shape. Got these at a comic shop that operates in a flea market. They had all back issues and magazines at 50% off. Got all of these for $15. And then just a random collection from different places. Nothing to write home about. Paid about $12 for all of them. All of the 12 cent ones are in very rough shape.
  19. And of course there is risk in trying to snipe only a small amount over the latest bid. Someone else could snipe you with a larger bid.
  20. I agree. I think the problem is the book is pretty much impossible to make a movie from. So now you have a very popular book that they want to make more money from. This was inevitable. Honestly though, I'm not sure a movie ever had less to do with the book than this one.
