He posted about having one lined up already BEFORE the then he took it, then he backed out. What could have happened. He was still negotiating the first book. Got nervous it wasn't going to happen. Took the second book. Then the first deal came through.

Problem is Xela never stated #2. Where are you getting that from? I initially thought that but realized wombat was using the 2nd as an example of how it could have gone but didn;t. Yes. Just showing if the buyer was really concerned about shipping how he could have responded.

Seller: I think shipping will be in the range of X. Buyer 1: OK. I'll take it. Buyer 2: Please get back to me with an exact shipping quote and I'll make a decision. One of those sounds like a deal to me. One doesn't.

Yep. The got hit by the bus defense would be slightly more believable if he hadn't first changed his board name and post a full week after ignoring PMs from the buyer. And if he did somehow miraculously come back with a valid excuse he could always be removed from the HOS.

Then why not just return the money?

Personally that sounds like a d bag move to me.

Or simply deal with them as they arise. Seems simpler to me to try and eliminate as many issues as possible up front and not have to deal with them at all.

There can always be some odd ball things that comes up that people weren't expecting. But you can still cover the common issues that come up all the time in your rules.

Yes, still waiting on scans. Does that mean if you didn't like the scans you didn't have a deal?
