  1. Not for nothing, but if you can't spot an upside down book or swapped labels for a completely different title you have zero chance at catching wrong dates or names.
  2. Wait, people still assume QC is a thing at CGC? @CGC Mike I think I've asked before, but can we get a definitive answer if EVERY books goes through a full QC process or just a certain %?
  3. Huge shoutout to @Parabellum. His extreme generosity allowed me to complete my Aliens run.
  4. This is the equivalent of a pro team doing public tryouts.
  5. From Facebook: On this day 12 years ago, Frank Frazetta passed away at the age of 82. He was a man who lived a long life full of love, happiness, and success. When people ask me who he was as a person, I always explain that they'd never expect him to be the legendary artist that he was- he was humble, kind, and caring; he wore clothes that were comfortable to him, rather than the type that would show off his success; sports were a huge passion of his, and his athleticism was as important to him as his talent in art; and it was hard to get him to brag or boast about anything, even though he had a competitive nature. All in all, Frank Frazetta was a family man, always trying to surround himself with those who loved him. I could not have asked for a better Grandfather, and I'm very proud to be his grandson. I love and miss you every day Grandpa; you were a very special person. -William Frazetta @WilliamFrazetta Very kind words.
  6. What recourse do I have? You should have that tattooed on your forehead. Every time you look in the mirror it would be a reminder of how much you messed up.
  7. Obviously it is up the OP on a HOS nomination, but I really hope that happens to protect the community.
  8. You have no recourse. That is won't you fail to grasp. The time to figure that out was before you bought the book. Not 2 months later. Not after the stated return policy. Its 100% on you for failing to figure this out when you should have.
  9. And when you didn't like the response you initiated a return. So you still think you didn't question the policy?
  10. I'm not sure why I am saying this again as I'm sure you can't grasp this, but here I go anyway. You don't get to question a return policy after the stated return policy has ended. It doesn't matter how he responded to you. You lost your chance to ask this question. You waited too long. Its 100% on you. I eagerly await some incomprehensible response.
  11. You had no right to start the PP claim. NONE. It doesn't matter what he said or didn't say about your resto return policy question. Too late. I think you fail over and over to comprehend that. Do you think if he said I do not take returns for resto that would have justified trying to return the book? For something you should have asked before buying it. Or within the return period he stated as part of his sales thread? You are under some kind of delusional thought process that any amount of time after you purchase a book you can start asking questions and if you don't like the answer you can return the book.
  12. @mdean2437You don't get to do any of that stuff after 2 months. You don't get to start asking questions that you should have asked before buying the book 2 months later. Concerned about restoration? Ask what his policy is before buying the book. Still concerned after you receive the book? Return the book within his stated return period. Literally nothing he would have replied to you would have been grounds to initiate a return. And then you initiating a return absolutely messed with his business. That is 100% on you. As far as the mental health reasoning, that doesn't help your cause. If that is what you are blaming it on then you certainly can't guarantee it won't happen again.
  13. What kind of person ships like that? That is horrific.
  14. Its just way too long to expect any kind of refund. Where exactly do you draw the line? What if you found out 2 years later? Would you expect the seller to do something for you?
  15. The 1950s called, they want you back. The fact that you would even include the third picture as an example of what you are talking about shows you have some very warped views of women.
  16. Is he saying that he still has the book or not? I'm a little confused on that aspect.
  17. I wasn't really sure where to post this. Just got this in. Very happy.
  18. If I was a betting man I would say we are never going to hear from the buyer.
