  1. Just because I like to show them off, here is some original art from Doc Zab who does a lot of artwork for the Warrant magazines.
  2. To be honest I like to try and figure it out. But for this one they were hiding valuable information.
  3. Were they signed and not noted or not signed and got the wrong label? Don't keep us in suspense.
  4. If I have a stack of raws and hand them to the dealer I think at least 75% of the time they will offer up some kind of discount. I'm not talking about a bunch of books from the $2 bin. I would never expect a discount on super cheap books.
  5. In today's episode of posting while high on crack. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Epic-Illustrated-1-CGC-9-6-Only-18-graded-higher-Frazetta-Starlin-Art-1980-/154954357667?&_trksid=p2056016.l4276
  6. I doubt most of them are truly "handling" the merchandise like a comic though. Not to mention clothes and handbags are a lot more robust. I'm not sure what industries would even be comparable to comics where the mere act of getting a fingerprint on something could greatly impact its condition.
  7. I always just assumed he was doing a bit of ice fishing.
  8. Its always nice to see someone double (tripe, quadruple?) down on showing their crazy.
  9. Come on rookies. Please only post active selling threads in here.
  10. Never underestimate "CGC quality control". They constantly amaze us.
  11. I don't get the attitude to always offer less than asking. So if the person has it listed at what you would consider a very good price you will still try and haggle over the price?
  12. Thanks @Taylor G Not every day I can fill three missing issues with nice affordable copies.
  13. Great Books!! Figured it might be worth asking here. Looking for a 9.6 or 9.8 of this. Anyone know of any out there? Not interested in submitting to CGC at the moment.
  14. As someone who used to go to the Wizard World show and stopped going when there was like 5 dealers left this is disappointing to hear. I figured I would pass this year and see what people thought.
  15. Its like they wanted there complete ineptness captured forever.
  16. I would love it if the pricey books I can't afford came up in a purple label and made it affordable. I just never see it with the books I'm looking for.
  17. Part of it may also be the visibility factor. Lets say you crack the book out. You may or may not notice the restoration. You should notice the writing. Personally if it was a book I wanted that was normally out of my price range I would take whichever one was cheaper.
  18. I can't help but to feel it just seems manufactured to be expensive. All the metal and variant covers for a new book. I will get the actual normal Frazetta covers because I can't help myself. But I have no desire for collect non Frazetta death dealer covers.
  19. At least if they come back with the same grade you won't have to forever wonder if they swapped the labels.
  20. I don't care if a dealer wants to sell items on line in some fashion during a show, but to prevent people who actually come to the show from purchasing those same items seems ridiculous. Why even pay to set up at a show? Just do your thing online and not pay for a booth and all the related expenses? I must be missing something.
