  1. I'll add one thing. If you can't agree on a dollar value the presser can simply replace your books. He lost your books so that is what he owes you.
  2. I don't care if the books were stolen in 1985. He has not yet reimbursed you. So you need enough money TODAY to go out and replace those books. If he wanted to value them using 2020 numbers then he needed to pay you in 2020. This is just ridiculous. And I know you don't want to out this person, but at some point you should consider it. I'm pretty sure people don't want to do business with this person.
  3. But this is kind of the point. At the end of the day it is not reasonable to expect zero packages to get lost/stolen/whatever from any shipping company. These things will absolutely happen to someone. So then you go from there.
  4. There are plenty of mistakes to go around here. The first is obviously making a poor choice in shipping method. That is 100% on the OP. Then you have whatever the heck happened after that. It will be pretty amazing if it turns out it never left CGC. Even for them that would be pretty terrible. If it did leave and it got lost that is obviously on the shipper. If it got stolen? I'm not sure how you could blame anyone other than the person that stole it.
  5. I have the impression you’re talking about #3 and Wombat is talking about #17, but I could be completely wrong. As to the #3 cover, the white doorway is what sells me on it. That doorway isn’t going where you think it should, it’s connected to somewhere else. Yeah, I was talking about 17. And I agree with you on 3. I love the white doorway.
  6. Boo!! Hiss!!... I can remember the first time I saw that cover and I didn't even know it was Frazetta. Which for me is pretty odd.
  7. That is insane. You wonder where a heater was hiding for 9 months.
  8. Picked up this beauty from @marmat I had no idea how big it was. Second picture for reference.
  9. Me too. That and Creepy #3 are under appreciated. This might very well be my least favorite Frazetta cover. It just doesn't have that Frazetta vibe to it.
  10. This is why you shouldn't lose someone's books. While of course I think there should be some kind of reasonable agreement on FMV, in this case you have to side with the guy whose books were lost. Or at least closer to his value then the other guy's value.
  11. If he has admitted to losing your books and is not offering you fair compensation I would consider suing him.
  12. Who exactly does she want you to take to small claims court? UPS?
  13. The fact that this is still happening tells you everything you need to know. CGC knows labels are getting switched. They can't (or won't) stop it from happening. This isn't rocket surgery. The literal bare minimum of QC would catch this.
  14. Yeah, this one is definitely not going anywhere. Big upgrade to what I had and most likely I will never top this one.
  15. Great transaction with Jimbo. Top notch seller all around.
  16. Picked up this beauty from @jimjum12.
  17. Really looking forward to this one.
  18. Are you really asking if the company that graded an invisible comic jumped the shark?
  19. Great information. Thanks. Honestly I don't care about the grade for this. I'm a huge Diablo fan and just think this is cool. This also sent me down a rabbit hole yesterday and I didn't realize they made diablo action figures. So I got my eye on some of those. I did already have the Tyrael funko pop. And I did run across those DC comics as well.
  20. I had no idea this existed. Now I want one.
  21. Got this in complete with Alien substance in the slab.
  22. I have that Alien Next Door book and the figure they made for it.
