On this day 11 years ago, Frank Frazetta passed away at the age of 82. He was a man who lived a long life full of love, happiness, and success. When people ask me who he was as a person, I always explain that they'd never expect him to be the legendary artist that he was- he was humble, kind, and caring; he wore clothes that were comfortable to him, rather than the type that would show off his success; sports were a huge passion of his, and his athleticism was as important to him as his talent in art; and it was hard to get him to brag or boast about anything, even though he had a competitive nature. All in all, Frank Frazetta was a family man, always trying to surround himself with those who loved him. I could not have asked for a better Grandfather, and I'm very proud to be his grandson. I love and miss you every day Grandpa; you were a very special person.
