Yes my email service provider had an issue for 24 hours. It's now fixed (and you probably received your emails 24 hours later). I fixed this error + you can now reset your password by giving your username OR your email... thanks for pointing this out to me! Do you still have problems with the Favorites page? Or other pages as well? I use Chrome on Mac every day (v60) with 2650 artworks matching one of my 40 keywords... and I never had any issue. Can you give me some details by MP? Does it hang from the beginning? Or when only a few sources remain? Is it always the same?

Of course I did. As stated in your topic title, we are talking about art. You don't need to read anything to like a painting (or a sculpture) or not. So why should it be different with comic artworks? Some pages I bought were purchased because I like the series and/or I like the artist and I "needed" a piece of art representative from this series / artist. But for some other pages I simply liked the page visually. Of course it's easier if it's not too expensive. Or I'll first try to find some information on it, try to read the comic first.

For sure scraping is not ideal... and if some of these websites give me APIs it would be great! Anyway, I'm really cautious to not heavily query any website. For instance ComicConnect: I only open 3 pages every 3 hours... That's also my opinion but some sites can have their own strategy... That's also why I launched CAT in beta, to see if there was any issue with professionals. I don't think it would upset any dealer or artist, but it could be different with auction houses or marketplaces. Yep you're right, I'm aware of it

It seems that ComicConnect blacklisted my server... Don't know if they did it on purpose or not , but I knew CAT could bother some websites...

Thanks for your feedback Simon, I never thought about it as I easily and naturally use the touchpad to scroll down... but I think you're right and this autofocus is neither necessary nor desirable in this case. I removed it, now you can scroll down using your keyboard without cursing me every time you open the home page

Sure but I cannot do ALL the work If you ask Google for a Kirby cover, I guess this copertina won't be on the first pages ... My opinion being that it's hazardous to use common nouns in searches. You should probably stick to proper nouns and filter by yourself if you don't want to miss something. But that's only my opinion

I'm really curious to know which sites you're talking about... in PM maybe? ;-) (and I still have at least 20-30 small sites to index, somewhere in my loooong TO DO list) Actually, as Brandon answered above, all this "natural language search" is quite a painful subject I have a few ideas to resolve (or at least reduce) the issues with accents (you're not really impacted as you don't have accents but in France it's not the same to search for Hergé and Herge) and the issues with hyphens ("spiderman" vs "spider-man"... unfortunately I can't do anything about "spider man"). Regarding "generic" search terms (I mean not an artist or character name), what kind of search terms might be involved? Only a few of them, such as "splash page" (no real translation in French) or "cover", I guess. It would be really resource-consuming to use Google translation API to have all text translated (in how many languages?) + having each search looking for all these translations, only for a few keywords. In this case, isn't it simpler to add two favorites, such as kirby cover and kirby couverture ? And last but not least I only have a limited control on eBay searches so whatever I do, eBay will use its own algorithm to give me results back on BIN items. But maybe I'm wrong, or I don't see all the situations were it could be an issue... let's talk about it ;-)

The Artist's Choice is definitely the first in the TOP 3 worst websites in terms of design, usability, (un)structured data, broken links I hesitated a long time before I roll up my sleeves and it took me more than one full week to index it (and a few pages probably passed through the net), where a modern and simple website can be integrated in 30mn (and on average I would say a couple of hours). The second worst in this TOP 3 is probably Galerie Laqua. Or maybe Black Line Fever. There's also a few websites that I could not index at all (the ones that are deactivated in the sources list) because the data is REALLY not structured ...

Done! (but I removed their art from the "recently listed" page to not overload it) I *LOVE* to read that. That's exactly what I want to do with ComicArtTracker, helping collectors to find stuff they love and discover new stuff / websites they never heard about before. And if I can also help american collectors to discover european art and vice-versa it's even better! Should be fixed. FYI, you can also directly type in kirby -rip in the "search for keywords" field.

You're right: when you're not connected, searches are restricted to ~ 30 websites, to not overload my server. I'll see later how it behaves, if I have to pay for a bigger server, and if I can remove this restriction.

When your keywords are added, don't forget to click on "update your options" at the bottom of the page. If it still does not work, send me a message (with the pseudo you used on CAT) and we'll look at your problem. For now CAT is hosted on a quite small (and cheap) server and checking favorites on a large number of keywords for the first time may be really resource consuming. You might try first by unselecting the four eBay sources (auctions and BIN / Europe and US), bulk discard non relevant items, then reselect eBay and do it again. If it still does not work, send me a message.

Thanks for your encouragements! I'll try to answer yours questions promptly. You can go to your Settings page, click on the "Sources" button and select / unselect the sources you want. By default I only pre-select a subset of all sources... maybe I'm wrong and should select every source, if it's not easy to understand why. The artwork looks good and as BPLZ said, Daniel Maghen is one of the biggest gallery in France. Even if the art is sold, thanks to the id on the certificate You can still see the pictures on Daniel Maghen's website (see below). Which means that the certificate is real. The only point is that, on your picture, the artwork seems to be cut but I don't see anything on DM's picture ...
