No Time Like the Future by Nelson Bond Avon T-80 1954 $12
True 1st edition of this colllection with a nice Richard Powers cover. A cool later Avon science fiction title by an underrated writer.
Fine/Fine plus. Appears unread, with great color and gloss, no reader crease, just a little crunch to the corner, storage wear around the edges.

Stranger In A Strange Land by Robert A. Heinlein Avon V-2056 5th Print Print January 1966 $15
Neil Boyle cover art. 1st paperback edition, 5th printing, still with the original cover art.
The 1962 Hugo award winner, Heinlein's most famous novel. Perfect reader if you want vintage but don't want kill an expensive 1st print.
Fine minus. Solid tight binding. Nice colors. Reader crease, light creasing. Light edgewear. Great page quality. All these early thick printings are usually found creased and torn.

Finally bagged a nice copy of the 1st Edition (PBO) of "Reefer Club" by Luke Roberts. Uni-Books No. 49, 1953 with the iconic Warren King cover.
One of the toughest of the US drug books, it's compounded by being a "Uni-corn" with any kind of complete cover due to the paper thin covers. It has a nice chip off the back but still the nicest looking copy I've seen for sale in 7 years of looking.
This completes the USA "Reefer Trifecta", along with "Reefer Girl" and the 2nd (Canadian actually) Edition under the Stallion imprint, re-using the censored version of the cover from "Basement Gang"

100% Marilyn from Suydam there.
I like some of the Hard Case covers but others not quite as much. Definitely cool, they are helping to keep the pb school of art alive (and moving forward)
Maguire's skinny girls have gotten a little toooo skinny for my tastes
This one's a fave, but I've got a thing for girls and cards (in that order)
They are definitely better for the most part than the cover art on the Black Lizards from the first revival in the '80's, although I will always be grateful for their efforts. I still read Black Lizards today, although I always prefer reading an original vintage paperback.

Lots of excellent covers there. "Fright" is the king of the hill in that group as far as value/desireability imho. Looks like a real nice copy too

Set of six Very Fine Pocket Book Science fiction titles with full silver spines
$90SOLD to Goldust40I want to keep this set together as they came from the collection I bought - because of their uniform high gloss and near perfect silver spines, which are so prone to rubbing. Great cover art by Meltzoff, Bergey and Schulz among others.
All flat glossy and unread looking. War of the Worlds has a small mark on the cover.
More pictures available on request but rest assured, these look and feel like they walked out of a time capsule.

Mission Interplanetary by A.E. Van Vogt Signet No. 914 1st PB 1952 $15
Retitle of "The Voyage of the Space Beagle" with great Stanley Meltzoff art
Fine Plus/VF minus. Square, tight and glossy. Hairline reader crease, light edgewear. Back cover has what looks like dirt in photo but is a bit of overspray of the page edge stain from the production process. My camera is super harsh

Combined with an ultra-classic cover, it's no wonder this one is usually listed in 3 figures.
Pretty, glossy copy. Slight spine slant, a few light bends, small chip on back.
