The Kidnaper by Robert Bloch Lion Books No. 185 PBO January 1954 $60
Bargain copy of this rare Bloch PBO with one of the sickest Lion covers. This was my keeper for a long time.
Front cover looks great. Cover reinforced to the spine with archival tape. Some dots of marker touch up to spine lettering.

We Have Always Lived In The Castle by Shirley Jackson Popular Library 75-8106 September 1970
$25SOLD to OuterBoroGuyIf you know, you know. One of the most oddly magical books I've ever read. Other collectors must know because finding any copy of the Popular pb editions with the original Bill Teason cover of Merricat peering through the fence in decent shape is tough.
Tough black cover book. Has spine stress, edgewear, scraping on the back but still a displayable copy that can still be read.

Drawn To Evil by Harry Whittington / The Scarlet Spade by Eaton K. Goldthwaite Ace D-5 PBO 1952 $65
The Saunders negligee cover on "Evil" is his best GGA of the early Ace run. Super tough book in any shape, this was my keeper for a long time. I only just upgraded recently.
Square, tight and bright with a scattering of edgewear, mostly along the spine edges, and small creases. The main images look great with no big creases.
Take
An amazing cover

1984 by George Orwell Signet NO. 798 1st PB edition, 2nd Print October 1950
$45SOLD to TheComicsPreacherNice looking bargain copy of the classic Alan Harmon "Big Brother" cover art. Early printing color scheme with the red banner at the top.
Has a nice appearance. Square and tight with higher grade structure, no big creases, just edgewear, mostly to the spine. Colors are bright but darkening at the edges as are the pages so I'm discounting this one.

The Lady and the Snake by John Farr (aka Jack Webb) / Nothing To Lose But My Life by Louis Trimble Ace D-235 1957
$18SOLD to OtherEricBeautiful un-credited cover art on the "Snake" side - looks like Barton - Rudy Nappi on the flip side
Fine-ish. Square, tight and bright. Reader creases and "Snake" side has some light creasing. Still a nice looking copy.

Ok. I cleaned up the thread and think I'll have time to list a little chunk of books this morning before I have to get going on some other things.

Thanks for all the participation I am going to take the break here. Pop a brew or two and jam some guitars with my buddies in the garage.
I have another box pulled out for tomorrow. A whole variety of stuff again including some real killer books to do a nice finale

Please Send Me Absolutely Free by Arkady Leokum Popular Library No. 366 September 1951 $30
A stunner of a copy of this Popular with great uncredited GGA of a ho with the empty wine glass. Condition rarity at work here.
VF/NM Square tight and glossy with almost no wear. Those lines you see are reflections of the gloss, not creases. Slight bindery wear at top of spine.

Tales from the House of Mystery #1 by Jack Oleck Warner Paperback Library 0-446-75226-6 1st edition, 1st Print 1973 $90 for the pair
Tales from The House Of Mystery: Volume 2 by Jack Oleck Warner Paperback Library 0-446-75256-8 1st Edition 1st Print 1973
A pair of tough books. Fantastic Berni Wrightson covers and interior illustrations
Slightly lesser than the set I sold a while back because of No. 1 but still high grade.
They both are super fresh, unread, new looking copies. No. 1 has an odd small production defect at the back lower corner. It looks like the edge hit the cutting machine and cut a tip off the back. Not a chew of any kind, very smooth, still a pretty book.

Beware The Lady by Cornell Woolrich Pyramid Books No. 80 1953
$65SOLD to Goldust40One of my favorite noir covers. An incredible Clarence Doore Bad Girl with the red dress, opera gloves and cigarette. Beware!
Fine. Square, tight and glossy. Has a small split at bottom left, a few surface disturbances and some edgewear. Overall an attractive copy of a rare PB in any condition.
