Dark Crusade by Karl Edward Wagner Warner Books 88-154 1st Edition, 1st Printing
$40SOLD to Goldust401st appearance of Frazetta's "Dark Kingdom" Kane, the most expensive Frazetta painting ever sold. Just got in a trade so offering it here.
Fine Plus. Solid, square and glossy, has some light spine wear and tiny edge and surface wear. Back cover has some slight discoloration or rubbing to it that is hard to photograph

Interview With The Vampire by Anne Rice Ballantine Books 28126 4th Printing December 1979 $45
Rare later printing with the amazing Gothic cover by Tom Hall. The only printing out of dozens to feature cover art rather than graphics.
Square and tight with a reader crease, edgewear and crackling of the gloss finish.
Great eye John - my favorite book in this whole sale

I'm going to try to get through more books today than I did yesterday, so I'm going to take the tack I do on cheapie threads and just do 1 pic on anything $20 and under (except a Double cover) and try to keep the descriptions down. I'll note any glaring defects on the back and of course will provide more pics if anyone asks.

Thanks for the "takes" I followed the auction closely because there was so much top notch material for the market to absorb, I hoped there might be a bargain or two among the lowly paperback cover art. There wasn't. Reefer Girl didn't surprise me, that is the most I've ever seen for a sleaze paperback cover OA. The study for it sold for 20K years ago so this was in the range where I expected it to be. Quite a few of the pb covers went far beyond estimates, the Raders and a couple of lesbian themed doing particularly well.
Maybe it's time to sell my undercopy of "Reefer Girl"

DYING INSIDE by Robert Silverberg
"A-10.72 (V)" stated on copyright page as called for a true 1st edition, dust jacket correctly priced at $6.95, red paper covered boards with black titles to spine.
Book: Fine, a bit of pushing to the head of the spine. Binding is tight and firm, feels like an unread copy.
Dust Jacket: Near Fine, unclipped. A bit of wear to the top corners of the front panel and slight wear with an associated crease to the bottom corner of the front panel. Now in a removable protective dust jacket cover.
$35.00 shipped in the U.S. sold to Surfing Alien
Number 6 is Number 1 in my book.
Gorgeous book arrived today, everything pretty. Thanks so much. I started reading it again, of course, and am hooked.

Untamed Darling by Jack Woodford Avon No. 403 1952
$75SOLD to MicrobiaA staggering NM/M copy of this classic Peter Driben cover of Eve offering the apple.
I don't grade anything NM/M but here it is. Near perfect everything, including the ultra-glossy lamination. Small pencil arrival date code on top of first page. WHITE inside covers and off-white pages. Just an incredible copy that can't be beat.
