  1. The Languages of Pao by Jack Vance Ace F-390 First paperback edition. Beautiful cover art by Gray Morrow $15 Fine/VF Bright whites, square and glossy. Pages tight and supple. Tiny bits of edgewear. Usual page toning. A gorgeous copy of a 59 year old book.
  2. Ace D-7 "So Dead My Love" by Harry Whittington. A paperback original by one of the greatest PBO writers. Incredible bondage/whipping GGA cover by Pulp legend Rafael DeSoto. Backed with "I The Executioner" by Stephen Ransome. Cover by Harry Barton. $35 SOLD to OtherEric The first couple of Ace mysteries are very tough and the two Whittington titles especially so. This was my top copy for several years. Higher grade copies are very rare and just don't show up and would cost a pretty penny when they do. I'd call this one Good Plus/VG Minus. Solid and square, it still retains gloss. Has a bit of creasing but edgewear is the most prevalent defect. The central images are intact nicely. Pages toned as usual and there is uneven-ess in the page block, which is common in the early Aces. Despite the accumulation of defects, this is a very presentable copy of a must-have vintage Ace PB Double.
  3. Gonna get this thread started up again here with one I said I was going to post last night but forgot to. Golden Voyager by Simon Finch Pan Books 0 330 25590 8 Stated 2nd Printing 1979. $25 SOLD to JRBaxter Incredible wrap-around cover by Frank Frazetta. Scarce in any condition over here. Very Good Plus. This copy is unread and glossy. Has a hairline crease at spine, surface scratching, mostly on the back cover that doesn't break color. Very lightly toned inside. A pretty copy of a great cover.
  4. Signet D2969 Batman vs. The Joker Book No. 3 in the 1966 Series $60 SOLD to Tupenny Conan Very scarce in glossy unread condition like this. I've been upgrading this series for several years now and 95% are trashed, another 5% VG-ish and a few here and there that look like this one. I'll call this one Very Good plus. It appears Fine or better but has a crease down the back cover that doesn't break color. Still an amazing survivor.
  5. Doc Savage The Stone Man by Kenneth Robeson. Bantam Q6419 $8 #81 in the Doc Savage series. Cover art by Fred Pfeiffer Very Good Plus. Solid glossy copy. Spine has stress lines but appears lightly read. Light cover wear and has age toning.

  14. I'm going to take a break, clean the thread a little and let my phone recharge, I'm listing from scratch today so just pulling and listing through my phone. I have plenty more to list this week. I may switch gears to some classic Popular Library books with GGA covers by the pulp greats for the next stack.
  15. Ace 49291 The Lost Continent by Edgar Rice Burroughs. Cover and interiors by Frank Frazetta. I believe this is the 1969 second Ace edition per ISFDB. Fine/VF A structurally stunning copy. 16. Ace F-306 Earth's Last Citadel by C.L. Moore and Henry Kuttner. 1st Book Edition. Spectacular Alex Schomburg cover art. He only did a few for Ace. Very Good Plus.
