  1. Personally I can only see NTT 2 going down, quite a bit down in a few years. 221 . Not a fan so no comment. 300 in 9.8 I'd hold. Lots of people grew up and continue to love Venom. Maybe I'm thinking of the wrong acronym here....but if we are talking about the first Deathstroke, why would you think it will be going down quite a bit, if at all? Slade is awesome and DC seems to be interested in pushing him.
  2. Those Sex Criminal sketches are possibly the dumbest thing I've seen in comics in a while.....and that's saying a lot!! People will toss money at anything......
  3. Nor is pressing or micro-trimming, but that hasn't stopped anyone. Point is, it's not necessarily just a hobby to everyone. I wonder at what point will pressing become frowned upon? To me it is restoration. I have several books that would be incredible if pressed but it just feels like restoration (and honestly I'm scared to take the chance and accidentally getting the book ruined). Will there be any long term issues from pressing? (I've been told that there are chemicals involved in the process). In other collectible hobbies that I'm involved in, such as vintage Star Wars toys, some people use lighter fluid to remove price stickers. I'm on the side that believes this could end up with some negative side effects down the road (and that using a flamable liquid on your cardback is a terrible idea all around). Like you said, it's not just a hobby to everyone. So some who seek profit will do whatever it takes to maximize their return. But will this all come around and change things later, when there's fewer virgin books in the decent grades? (because so many people want to do whatever it takes to bump them up a point)
  4. Awesome! That's being very fair of him. I didn't get one of the colored versions, so I'm extra happy to have snagged this.
  5. So I just reclicked my email link after purchasing one of these Fett covers and it took me back as if I could buy another?? I'm not going to (not ruining my own purchase), but is it possible? Is this how that guy is selling multiples already? Or just counting his eggs before they hatch?
  6. Any predictions? Will this be hotter than the previous Fett cover? Or will the colored version be the real eye catcher in the long run? I like the limited amount going on here, but I have to admit that these covers pop 10000000000X more with the color.
  7. I'm right there with you. It's not like they're going to stop making variant covers, so it is a good thing that we have some that we enjoy. Collecting vintage Star Wars toys is one of my other hobbies. These particular af variants are like crack to me. I would buy them all, even if they did go through the whole line.
  8. I doubt it personally because it's already high priced due to Croc. Doesn't seem too high priced to me and Croc definitely seems a lesser character than Jason (to me anyhow).
  9. Lando got one. I'm thinking they were sticking with original trilogy characters. Exactly...these are a throw back to the vintage Kenner line.
  10. Are we going to see a jump in price on Batman #357 now that we have seen the presumed dead Robin's costume in the Bats vs Supes trailer? Feel like there's little doubt at this point that Jason Todd will be a player in the DC cinematic universe.
  11. Unfortunately for you, there was never a vintage (1977-1985 Kenner) Slave Leia figure I'd pick up every single one of these, even if they went through the entire line including the Droids and Ewoks lines as well. I love'm! There was never a Secret Wars Captain Marvel, Miles Morales, or Deadpool but they made those… I believe they will make a Slave Leia eventually…she's too popular to not make it. Plus it will sell out almost fast that the exclusive Boba Fett. If they veer that route(going outside the vintage Kenner line to appease popularity), then yeah, I can't argue.....they'd definitely throw out a Slave Leia. It would be a lot of fun if they did a secret figure offer like they used to with the action figures- send in X amount of proof of purchases to receive an exclusive mail away figure cover (Bossk, Emperor, Anakin, etc). I'd be pi$$3d that I had to cut up some comics, but I'd probably do it for old times sake

  13. An easy going and pleasant individual to do business with! I wouldn't hesitate to buy/sell with Frank. Thanks Frank!
  14. Well I better hurry up and go check my boxes for those issues!!! Thanks for all the great Copper Age comic info guys! Seriously helpful discussion for this thread.... I think they're saying the new hot thing is Australian copper comics !! ....How'd I miss that?!

  16. Princess Leia #2 and Kanan #1 are soooooo soooooo much lower than I would've ever possibly guessed. Those were 2nd prints, but still a low number I'm feeling slow apparently..... . I promise, I've got a brain here somewhere.....

  18. Yea, someone mentioned they got his sig at the con where they released the other Bobas and they did not have a good experience. Show us a scan/pic. The sig is next to Boba's leg. That's the kinda signature I like right there! Doesn't take away from the piece at all....looks more like a signature an artist would've done on an original piece. Much much better than when a giant silver glob of is spread all over the cover image. So what was the negative experience that people came away with from the Con?
  19. Apparently I missed some news? 1st Caliban is all I can seem to notice?
  20. But the art was horrendous. This is from memory I haven't read it in a long time. I love Bill S. artwork. Love. I can see where not everyone does, though. That's comics for ya! For instance, I HATE JRJR artwork. Can't stand it.... Totally agree! Bill S = two thumbs up! JRJR = gives me a constipated face I'm always left wondering why, when someone tells me they dig JRjr.
  21. ^^ what he said ^^ What are we missing here? That the Platt MK books go for money? +1 These books have always been good sellers. I was never really into Platt and never got around to reading MK so this was a completely unknown commodity to me.
  22. Oh man! Why'd you have to go and say that!? Ironically I didn't see them either, they fell on the floor, , they were mixed in with the brown paper wrapping paper. People checking their garbage yet?
  23. That is super cool!!! I've sat back and watched a bunch of you guys get worked up and some nearly freaking out over this Fett shipping out. I personally would have never expected it to come any sooner. I also wouldn't have expected a single guy (who obviously has other work to do) to be able (even with a little help) to easily pull this all off. He had to receive all his books, receive all your orders, process all your orders, gather and pack all your orders, and try to take care of any hiccups that arose while trying to continue with his own normal life. That would be tough for anyone. I also wouldn't be suprised that he had problems trying to keep up with all of this and answer a thousand emails that he would have to backtrack and verify info on to be able to answer. Big companies don't often have great communication. This is an artist who put out something that many of us were hoping for. But anyhow, those little doodles are awesome. I'd keep them paired with your Fett issues permanently! (I wonder if any other people received these but didn't notice and tossed them?)
