In the America's Elite issue they held a contest to see if readers could name every character. It was like over 200 and alot of folks got it right. It was listed on the inside cover of a following issue. Billy next to Cobra Comander and Bludd. So that is an Emerald exclusive only I guess?

What grade is it? I won the Snake-Eyes declassified series after having it recommended to me here in the 'Joe forum. Although initially the way it was described it sounded like a reprint it looks like a separate interesting story arc with new material.

With the last few posts here pertaining to Marvel and their publishing tendencies in the 80's I myself cannot help but wonder about what they were thinking towards the abrupt end of the original G.I.Joe series. It is to my understanding that Marvel filed chapter 11 in the late 90's and it is the consensus among collectors that Marvel created what is referred to as the implosion of the comic industry. Could they help but wonder what if they had let the series continue? Did whoever made that decision realize that it was the type of thinking that helped Marvel commit suicide? I guess all good things must come to an end.

That's anyones guess but the executives at Marvel in the 80's. I guess more money = nicer product. Nicer product = higher asking price. It all worked out in the end though. Since the idea started out as " Fury Force" maybe it was intended to be a grand re release of S.H.I.E.L.D. so they figured it could have a premium asking price. I think they knew they had a winner on their hands though.

I searched high and low and I cannot remember where I read the information in my last posts. A Larry Hama or Marvel interview somewhere perhaps. Sorry that's the best I can do. Since you brought up the subject of rare Joe issues ComicConnisseur it would be worth mentioning that beyond the more commonly known higher value issues of #1, #21,& #155 also sought after issues are #2, #26,#27,#93 as well as certain printings of #63.

I've heard that starting with issue #2 they started increasing production so I would be surprised, but again I have no concrete sources to back me up and as of yet none else to contribute to our conversation. However in the 80's issue #2 was indeed a hot book. Why it has sunk back in the ranks now I cannot offer conjecture.

Since noone else has replied I would like to take a somewhat, but not totally wild guess and say around 150,000. (hoping that I don't have the decimal point in the wrong place) I have actually read about this somewhere although it was before I signed up for the message boards and I cannot for the life of me remember right now exactly where it was . Although I am quite sure it was not here. I would like to try to come up with a better answer and will give you one if noone else can do better. The only real fact that I do recall is that it was rare because of it being printed on Baxter paper, and more obviously it being a first issue.

Call me crazy but I heard that hack was considered one of the largest security breaches in history. It is called so because of the sheer # of people that it affected. Didn't SONY and XBOX networks just get hacked again the other day? Steam network on PC I hear however is considered impervious to such threats

I never played Tanarus. World of Tanks is about 3 years old or so. balzeops; WoT is free to start. I do not feel it is one of those "pay to win games" because I played 1000 matches in my first year before ever spending a penny. One word of advice if you ask me though is stick to random battles. At least to begin with.

I wanted to try World of Tanks but never got downloading it. I play WoT alot but I hear many people find it boring. So you are probably not missing much. Its a WWII era tank melee battle. My PC handles it pretty well though.
