  1. Thanks for the shout-out, but there's just enough redundancy with Dell titles I already am flush with that I think I can pass. Can't beat the price, though, and those are some nice 50's DC that will fit nicely into someone's collection.
  2. Can't knock a Stoops cover. He painted some amazing historical fiction covers.
  3. I'm probably in the minority, but I love those tangential covers. You can find Argosy's with a splash of everything: sci-fi, war, detective, sports, adventure - heck, even pirate covers! For me, that's part of the fun. I love the shudder books, but c'mon, how many different ways can you figure out how to imprison a woman in an over-sized tube??
  4. Those are wonderful books! I have one not pictured, so it must be issue 2. It's a beater, so I don't have it handy, but when I do dig it up, I'll post a scan.
  5. The beginning of Blue Oyster Cult's "Godzilla" started playin' in my head when I saw that icon....
  6. A wide and weird variety of books keeps my interest high I guess.
  7. Thanks! Syd Shores and that Timely/Atlas stable could pack a lot of action onto a cover. Definitely a cool POV!
  8. Me too, and I live maybe ten miles away. I'd rather spend my admission $$$ on Hoot Gibson fillers.
  9. I'm one of those afflicted types who still likes one or two examples of every title he can afford in his collection, even if it's a cowboy no one under 80 remembers!
  10. Kick things off with take of First Issue Special 8
  11. Congrats! It's equally impressive that you found that ad so quickly!
