  1. Too bad it soared out of your reach, but I'm happy a book like this gets some respect, with the highest-graded copy fetching what the umpteenth highest-graded Hulk 181 nets.
  2. I second that. Or third it. A great collection of books and I'm loving that astute boardies are jumping all over some of these offerings.
  3. Oh, wow. I can see why that's often missing! Super cool!! Is there a similar pin-up in Action 340 (first Parasite)? I ask because I have two copies of that without a centerfold, too. Any other notorious DC books off the top of your head??
  4. I looked at my Batman 181 a week ago and it was missing the centerfold. I haven't looked at it in 40 years I'd bet, and paid probably 50c for it, so no biggie. What was in there everyone wanted?
  5. None that I know of, but I admittedly lack any depth of knowledge regarding paper conservation, save for experimenting with a few of my own antique cigar boxes with mixed success (and nothing that would I think translate to comics).
  6. That... is as good as a comic cover gets - that linework (drool), those colors (swoon)...
  7. 6.5 to 7.0 on one of my favorite early DD's.
  8. 7.0 to 7.5 on this ridiculously cool book. I hope you plan on keeping this one!!
  9. A great presenting copy, but I think it would be in the 5.0 to 5.5 range because of the spine. A top-ten classic SA cover.
  10. I'm in the same 4.0, maybe 4.5, camp, and - sorry, Marvel zombies - I love early DC silver like this!
  11. Solid 9.0, and a great book. "OK, I know this is not a comic that's in demand or "key" in any way, but it's old and it's simply so nice that I thought I'd get some opinions." And I would rather see books like this here than a million NM 98's!
  12. I'll add to the chorus of 5.5 to 6.0. A stunning Schomburg cover! Don't get rid of it for a (cough) WWBN! GA goodness >> BA hype.
  13. 2.0 because of the detached cover. Super cool Cap!!
  14. 6.0 because of the shadowing. Check the old Overstreet grading definitions - any tanning on the cover meant no better than VG, but I have seen GA pedigree books with shadows score 9+!! It seems the hobby has evolved on the issue...
  15. 3.0 to 3.5 for some Wally Wood mayhem.
  16. I'm at a 7.0 on this Kirby classic, moreso because of the surface wear/abrasion than anything else.
  17. 7.5 - Bronze age goodness!! Loved the Golem in Marvel Two-In-One 11.
  18. 5.0 to 5.5 only because the back cover. The front cover presents stunningly! Really cool book!
