  1. Some of the very best Marvel Picture Frame covers as well as some outstanding art by legendary GA Subby artist Bill Everett.
  2. I love the music thread because who doesn't listen to music when they're chillin' on the Boards? I always thought it should be at the top with a sticky. Instead it's hard to find. I've discovered a lot of new music in this thread....
  3. I really like them. Subby #7 is a fave. ASM #262 even MTU 128! FF #33 is a legit classic as well.
  4. He is. Every time I poke my head in here I see a Greggy post or two like this. It's unfair.
  5. Oh my goodness. Those are some beauties. That Campbell Sheena is gorgeous.
  6. eh/meh It's a change that's for sure. Looking to get back to the coast soon. In the meantime just trying to get acclimated
  7. Agreed. And the written word is different from talking on the phone. Without cadence and inflection things can be interpreted differently thru an email or DM. Throw in a night of drinking and poor grammar and spelling and you can easily get an email from a decent & normal person that comes across like it was written by some crazy lurker stalker who may or may not have a chicken in his house.
  8. I love the 1974 and 1975 Marvel stickers produced by TOPPS. They had cheesy captions on them - they were great. And the backs were puzzle pieces that formed either FF #100 or Conan #1 after you used the stickers. You can find loose singles and unopened packs on eBay. I bought a few unopened packs for $15 each at SDCC in 2018 from a card seller. Info on these sets can be found HERE My favorites:
  9. You'd be surprised. I had a stack of them at one point and they used to sell pretty well on eBay. Not for huge amounts but they definitely carried value.
  10. Greggy is the guy who continually kicks my butt in Words with Friends. He currently has a 11-1 record against me and I keep coming back for more.
  11. Outstanding books Michael The Conan #1 presents VERY nicely
  12. The OG Suicide Squad run by John Ostrander is probably my favorite DC run of all time. So I was bummed with the first film. You could easily see that studio execs had cut up Ayer's original film and the result was a disjointed mess. But my hopes and dreams were rekindled when James Gunn took over the 2nd film. I'm a huge fan of his work. I think everyone should have to watch "Slither" at least once. To hear that he's completing this film with zero studio interference gets my hopes up
  13. If you're going to be be an online retailer - comics or otherwise - you better be prepared to offer outstanding customer service. Like 110%. And if you make a mistake you need to be on top of things as well 110%. There's a ton of competition out there and if you're not willing to make the commitment don't bother. And your employees better be all-in 110% as well because one mega-fail reflects badly on the whole company. I have never ordered from Midtown but from reading the comments above it sounds like they may need to invest a little time and love in QC. Going "above and beyond" is nothing special - it's expected in 2020. Those who aspire to this will have a leg up on everyone else.
  14. This is awesome. Thanks 'Prune! I'll have to think long and hard and sleep on this. I'm sure I can come up with a terrible reason!
  15. I'm going to be a buyer this time. If lizards2 has a booth I'm going to hang around there and try to nickel and dime him for all of his good stuff.
  16. I thought War of the Worlds was pretty good. I wouldn't consider it a remake though as Spielberg pretty much followed the book.
  17. Thanks Wayne I hope you're doing well. Stay safe and healthy my friend
