  1. I have not lost more than one point on any book I have guessed on so far!
  2. I am completely OUT OF THE RUNNING for 1st place. I have submitted my round 9 grades in hopes of not embarrassing myself further.
  3. It is now called, "Taking a Millie". My guesses have been respectfully submitted.
  4. 40.0????? Wow. And I thought they graded the GI Joe too high. I didn’t even know a 40 was possible.
  5. I prefer to assume that either a blind person graded this book OR that the company that actually graded it, mistakenly put a CGC label on it, instead of their own.
  6. My grades have been submitted. I will not, for one moment, assume they actually match whatever grade CGC pulls out of the hat and assigned to these books (after the Millie and Joe books)!
  7. I am beginning to think one of those graders down at CGC works as a teacher at my daughter's school, as they appear to grade with about the same accuracy. Here is a test she brought home the other day. Please note the teacher's marks are in ink. I am not sure how she thinks that a 4 by 6 flower bed takes up more wood to build then a 12 by 2..... Then my daughter was marked wrong for saying 80 + 8 = 88. The "grader" marked it out and wrote 78. Must be the same math the CGC folks are using on that GI Joe.
  8. When 91% of comic collectors grade a book lower than CGC does, that should tell you something. Just my 2 cents.
  9. That is the same scores I gave them Maybe we need to start our own grading company.
  10. That GI Joe is a 6.0???????? What is he dating that Millie girl from round 2???? I wish CGC would grade the few books I have sent in so kindly (I am sure I am not alone in that desire).
  11. Here we go again..... Grades in. Now the waiting begins.....
  12. Sometimes NOT getting your grades in gets you a better score than getting them in. (ie. Round 2 for me).
  13. OK, it is getting late on the East Coast. Time for bed. Can't look at these any more.... Grades sent in (for what that's worth).
  14. I felt the same way on round 2 (otherwise to be forever known as the infamous Millie round)!
  15. Actually I got the Harry Potter 9 3/4 grade. In all seriousness, I think this contest is intended to be fun and hopefully helps people to better understand CGC grading. This is my first time entering and I am having a fun (although at times frustrating) time. I really appreciate all the hard work and effort that @thirdgreenham and @sckao put into this.
  16. May I suggest another option? Just put ALL possible CGC grades in a hat and randomly pick one out.
  17. Finally a decent round. 8 Points. Not bragging, as ONE round does not make a "winner".
