  1. Ok everyone... I want to see your MM collections... I mean everything! The entire Miracleman collection! Don't know if we should have a separate thread for this entirely or... Just park it here....

I will be getting photos of mine together over the weekend.... Will you? :wishluck:

  2. :baiting: if you have any raw ones that you dig up that you think could fall into a 9.8....

I was considering sending Rich my UK copy as well... But I like it too much as a raw copy.. However, if I had that glorious 9.8! I would not have missed a beat sending it him for a sig!

  3. Well, let's see... Back in the Fall of '14 when I first joined the boards I was able to purchase a beautiful raw copy (9-9.2ish) from a great boardie (thumbs u for under $100

Now... For a raw 9.8... hm I'm not quite sure...

But I am sure I wouldn't pay 3k for a slabbed one lol

  4. that's really nice

how did you find such a high grade UK copy?

i note its got its trade-mark production line (as mine has!)

I have owned over 20 UK copies over the past couple of decades and every single one had the production line mark (my guess is that all the UK copies have this).

Yep, all my raw copies have it as well.

How many raw copies do you two have that would fall in at 9.8?

  5. I'm arriving pretty late to this party, but this may be of interest.

I read Miracleman real-time in the 1980s. Had the entire series, #1-24, most (probably all) of the associated, Eclipse-published issues. But they had long been stored away, untouched for many years, and I didn't really think much about them. Coming across this forum recently, I've been amazed that 1980s material has seen some collecting revival, and the intensity of interest in Miracleman floored me.

So I dug out (probably) everything today, including this -- yes, original owner, bagged and boxed everything back in the day -- the 2D version of the Miracleman 3D issue (I've decided to obscure my copy's serial number for now):

    Cover, indistinguishable from regular 3D:

I handled it today, to take these pics, for the first time since probably 1990, maybe earlier.

It is not for sale today. It may be in the near future.

What now? Should I have it graded?

It is on the inside cover that will not get the qualified label.

I met a guy at the Basement Comics booth at Mega Con (I can't remember his name) that owns No. 6..... He told me a great story about how he came across the book... He is currently working on a 2D registry set as well. He gave me a great pointer on how to spot the 2D version over the 3D without opening the book.... It's all about the paper! It's printed on a different stock... So the paper appears whiter! (thumbs u

  6. I've said it before, and I'll say it again....the "Eclipse Archive Editions" have absolutely no business being in blue slabs. The books were foiled decades after the fact, and not by Eclipse, which had been out of business for a decade when this was done. It's absolutely no different from any other after-market additions to a book, and should be in Qualified slabs.

    Sigh.

I absolutely agree with you 100%

  7. Ebay seller: master_po

    Is he a boardie?

Not sure but he's a big MM collector

I think he bought my 12 9.9 a few years back

thanks for the updated gold list BTW

Yeah, he definetly has a lot of MM up for sale on eBay... There are several nice pieces I would love to own but he has more money invested in them than I'm willing to spend at the moment (I've tried negotiating with him several times with no luck)..... Without a doubt, he has a great selection of MM collectables... Doesn't seem to eager to sell though..

    Got frames! (thumbs u

    looking good

who won the "stigmata" postcard? be nice to see here

I know!!!! I missed out on both of the ones you auctioned!

If by chance a boardie won one of them.... I am always looking to buy! (thumbs u

  9. I came across these boards in the Fall of '09 while searching for UK zines with Miracleman in them... I lurked the boards several years before giving in and making an account. This is the closest thing to social media I have ever participated in... Aside from my email address... This is my strongest presence on the Internet. Thanks CGC and all the boardies for the wealth of information over the years!

Another successful Sunday morning at the flea market... $40 for the lot... I paid a bit too much for the puzzle, but it was a grail find for me in the wild... And a factory sealed MoS 18? And I'm always happy to pick up some vinyl as well. (thumbs u

(worship) That Alien puzzle is an amazing find for the price. I've not been able to find one with an asking price much less than $300. Been trying to find one in the wild for years, no luck. Congrats!

Thanks everyone. The moment I saw it on the table I got goose flesh... it has been a personal Grail of mine for a long time! The guy wanted $30 but I handed him a $20 and asked him for the good guy discount... lol it worked! I didn't realize it was retailing for so much though... If I did I would have just gave him the $30 and been on my way... But I love wheeling and dealing at the flea market... So it's always hard for me not to haggle or barter when I see something I like. The Misfits LP is not made of wax.. Maybe next time though! Both LP's sound great and I was glad to add them to my record collection as well. After I complete the puzzle I'll throw up a photo or two (thumbs u

  11. Talk to me about that Rom figure a bit more.

When was it MFG'd? By whom?

I've collected toys for a long time and never seen one.

    Patrick

I used to have a boxed one. Difficult to find in good shape boxed and complete/working loose.

Pulsar! When Mattel was auctioning off their "vault" on ebay, I won the Mattel "sample" Hypnos. It was minty in a hacked box, but it's been marked by Mattel. Pretty cool to have a "file copy" toy that I played with as a kid.....

    :baiting: pictures?
