  1. Rich, any chance you can get a Bryan Lee O'Malley Scott Pilgrim sketch on a blank or board?
  2. As follow-up to my Transformers post, here's the GI Joe portion of the purchase. It may be hard to see in the picture, but the lot included (some complete, many mostly complete): Buzz Boar MOBAT (Motorized Battle Tank) Persuader (tank) Conquest X-30 (airplane) Polar Battle Bear (Skimobile) Cobra F.A.N.G. (A Fully Armed Negator Gyrocopter) Cobra H.I.S.S. (High Speed Sentry) Dragonfly XH-1 (Assault Copter) S.N.A.K.E. (Battle Armor) Bivouac Twin Battle Gun RAM (Rapid Fire Motorcycle) Cobra Jet Pack Air Skiff S.H.A.R.C. (Submersible High-Speed Attack and Reconnaissance Craft) Moray (Hydrofoil) Skystriker [XP-14F] (Combat Jet) Cobra Night Raven S³P I'm almost done cataloging. There were some random Star Wars, GoBots, Centurians, Starriors, and other stuff. I still have some random weapons and vehicle parts to sort out.
  3. Price was very good. I didn't realize there were this many Transformers when I bought the lot. He had stuff all over and I didn't even know exactly how much stuff was included. When I came back to buy the lot, he had it mostly packed up, so it wasn't until I got home that I realized there were a bunch of Transformers in a shoebox with a ziplock bag of weapons. At the time, I was mostly interested in the Joes. I'm still sorting through those.
  4. Sorted through and cataloged all the Transformers figures. About 33 Transformers, 19 of them complete. Most have either their box or card back.
  5. Saw an ad for Star Wars and GI Joe figures at a local yard sale. I went a little late and didn't see any in the boxes on the driveway. I asked the guy there if he had any left, and was told what we got is what we got. So I looked again...nothing. Then another guy asked what I was looking for. I said the ad mentioned Star Wars and GI Joe. He says yup, I have a lot of that inside. He wasn't lying. He had stuff all other the place. He said to take few pictures and call later with an offer. I thought about it all day and eventually texted an amount I really didn't think he'd take. But he did. I went right over and the haul filled the back seat of my car. First three pics are just all the stuff in a pile. The last two pics are a little more organized. There is an entire shoebox of G1 Transformers. A Metroplex in the box, mostly complete. Bags and bags of accessories. A ton of GI Joe vehicles with boxes. A six inch tall stack of filecards, instructions, stickers, and other inserts. If anyone is interested, I can post more pics as I sort through the boxes.
  6. Anyone going to SDCC that can pick me up a copy of each? PM me please You could try one of the following: Rich Henn, Celestial Comics, dscott. They are listed in the other thread as taking submissions.

  8. First yard sale was a bust. Then lots of lower grade '60s books from an estate sale. Not really in my collecting wheelhouse, but couldn't pass these up.
  9. I wasn't sure where to post this, but I really wanted to share. I picked this up this weekend. "The Hobbit Coloring Book," © 1969. I was able to find a couple of references to this on fan sites, but I don't know much about it, other than what's on the table of contents. It's a fan creation and there are some cool pictures inside. Old typewriter font. Thick paper stock.
  10. The copy I have is © 1970 and no mention of a printing, so I assume it's a first print. MyComicShop.com shows that there are two volumes. For Volume 1 from 1970, there are three editions - Blue Title, No Title, and Green Title - all listed as 1st Print. For Volume 2 from 1972, there's a Pink/Red Logo, No Logo, and a version that's signed and numbered (I think this is the same cover as Pink/Red, just signed). Either way, the cover artwork is great.
  11. Hit up another couple of yard sales with my daughter this morning. Some highlights: Getting closer to finishing my Thanos set: Random goodness: Tracy (1976) DC Treasury Edition Famous First Edition Whiz Comics (1974) Famous First Edition Flash Comics (1975) Steranko History of Comics SC (1970-1972 Supergraphics) No Logo on Cover Front: Back:
  12. Hi Srezvan, I hope you didn't spend too much on this "stationary". There are a couple things that look a little suspicious. The first thing I noticed was the "drop shadow" used on The Tick. I have never seen any graphics used on the original 1995 Panini Collectible Stickers, Catalog, Inserts, Box, or Advertisements ever using a drop shadow on this particular illustration. The Tick image itself is a mirror image of the catalog and The Tick. The Tick logo in the upper right hand corner does not have the fox kids network tm logo which was used in all other cases. The address in the fine print spells out Mount Laurel and the font is close to the one used with a couple minor deviations. The seller of this product has a lot of other stationery packs just like this that range from then to current animations. That being said, I am NO EXPERT. Please take this with a grain of salt. Just because I've never seen this before, doesn't mean that it didn't exist back in 1995. Just curious but did the paper show any evidence of aging? If you want the advice from a real expert, please contact Panini Group, I'm sure they will be able to assist. Let me know what you find out. If it's legit, heck I'll go buy some myself. Peace! I sent an email to Panini. I'll let you know if I ever hear back.
  13. I love yard sale season. Lots of modern books available for pickup this weekend for cheap. Here are some highlights. Run of Silver Surfer with Infinity Gauntlet storyline. Didn't realize this was a Whitman Variant at the time, just that the top left didn't look quite right. You just can't pass up inexpensive Deadpool comics nowadays. Kinda funny original story. Comic originally came packaged with X-Men DVDs. Not in great shape, unfortunately.
  14. Just picked this up from eBay. Not sure why I bought it (I do love the Tick), but wasn't sure what I would actually do with it. Now I think I'll try to get an Edlund sketch on it if I ever get the chance. Came in a pack of 5, so I have extras. This was advertised as "a printed stationary sheet that would be used by the sales and marketing departments to compose customer-specific letters on."
  15. Got two books from ECCC. Comics arrived quickly and very well packaged. Thanks!
  16. Bought one book in March. Great price, fast shipping, and securely packaged. Thanks.
  17. Nothing too fancy, but I'm glad that yard sale season is starting. A few issues of Thanos and a bunch of other books at $1 each. The 3 "Secret Origin" issues are really cool, still bagged with the candy from 1980.
  18. This +1 I have been doing this combo for years, and it rocks! Old pic, but all the books behind WWT#1 are protected the same way. What types of boxes do you guys use to store your toploaders?
  19. Purchased about 7 books. Shipped quickly and very securely packaged. Thanks!
