  1. My best round ever in the two contests I’ve been in! Three bullseyes. Had Strange Tales at 6.5 and Subby at 2.5.
  2. I always think of this when I see this thread.
  3. I also had a subscription to ASM, beginning with issue #169. I remember the ads in the comics for subscriptions said "all titles mailed flat". I was 10 years old at the time so never really understood what that meant until years later. So I think I just missed the folded subscriptions. Still have all mine to this day. Most I read once and put away, so for the most part they are in nice condition. There are a few that had some mail damage...
  4. I did a lot better in this round than #1. The LL killed me though, had it at 5.0. This is my first time doing this and I am enjoying it very much. Thanks Mike!
  5. I’d pass. Too off center for me at 9.2. Yes I’m a baseball card collector.

  8. Awesome story. ASM has always been my favorite since I started collecting at age 10 in 1977. I have a 100-252 run..... Congrats on an incredible acquisition!
  9. Saw it yesterday (Sunday) at 3:30. Theater packed. I had heard there were some gasps and clapping at several points in the movie. Didn’t have any of that with our group (well me a little) so I assume some of these folks had seen it before. I enjoyed it.

  12. Hi Delzy, welcome to the boards! I "got back into" my comics about 10 years ago and your experience sounds very similar. I have no idea what your signed book is worth but that is an awesome item!
  13. The Verdict. Incredible performance by Paul Newman. Best courtroom drama I have ever seen. Also agree with Breaking Away mentioned earlier. The ultimate underdog movie.
